Same question I saw on another thread, and i found it interesting that
This black guy preferred to live in Germany before Mississipi

The black war veteran fathered a son with a german woman, the rednecks found the picture of his son and wife in germany, and the KKK tortured him, and wanted to kill him but then decided to cut off his tongue but let him live. They did that to punish him for the mullato he fathered, they wanted first to kill him, but his white friend saved him, so they "only" cut off his tongue, and didnt killed him. At the end of the movie he is with his family reunited in germany.
Interesting that in Germany he could have a white wife but not in Mississipi. The last 30 minutes were the best part of the movie.

But that was back in the world war, that he lived and could do that in Germany but not in America. Now it is different though he could do that in America too. But i think it is interesting that back then it was possible in germany, but i guess that works for blacks, they had it better in europe, i guess gypsies didnt had it better in europe or have it, so it wouldnt work for me. But I also dont know how gypsies were treated in the USA, I heard from some users, on this forum, here and there they just lynched gypsies if they felt like because "they stole a kid".... I dont know if they were serious or wanted to hurt me, but doesnt sound really good either.

I hate Germany !! No way

Germany generally has pretty nice cities. If you want to live in a big city you'll pay much less than in LA or NYC. Crime is also much lower. There's universal health. Traveling to other European cities is also easy and not that expensive, whereas it's a hassle in america to go anywhere, not that you'd ever want to visit Ohio, Minnesota or Alabama in either case. Maybe this is the reason why so many just stay put and never bother. We live in an enormous country but our cities are shit. Everywhere you go it's just paved roads and wide empty spaces, and not much else. So given the choice, hell yeah, I'd rather live in Germany, assuming I can find a way to support myself there.

Although I have a vested interest , ich bin halb deutsche ,the comparison is chalk and cheese .

Most of it stems from the time lines and cultures -- Germany has them in abundance , america is a huge question mark .

I’m not remotely German, and I live there.

I'm curious as to what the fuck you think is wrong with Alabama ? I've met more racist pieces of shit in NY than any state in the south.

Poor Mort got a temp ban at the Euro message forum so he might spend a little more time here.

What has that got to do with the price of apples?
The Topic is a US , Germany comparative assessment .
There are millions living in Germany who were not born there ? So what .

Because l have a realistic view of living there. Which is connected to the OP.

Didn’t the Germans shoot up a church the other day?

You mean this? Hamburg shooting: Seven killed in attack on Jehovah's Witness hall

It was not a hate crime, it seems it was one guy who had ill feelings towards the community because he was previously a member of them. It would have surprised if it were a hate crime, because no one in germany hates jehovas witnesses enough.
So if you don’t hate people, you just kill them any way? He targeted a specific group based on their beliefs, that is a hate crime.

i just go where my feet take me.

I GOT RESTLESS FEET!
