He xould argue that all his dirty deeds were done as part of his duties.

I tthink he might have got away with it.Maybe standards in public life were higher then and that would have been a problem.
But nothing he couldnt sort out ,

Looking baack it all seems a bit innovent. The level of corruption was nothing compared to the trump white house.

How long would Obama have stayed in office if he were held to the same standards as Nixon?

Presidents, legislators and judges have always had immunity.
It is not a new thing.
Barry Obama used our DOJ to illegally spy on Trump, but he has never been held accountable.

Trump's crimes are worse than Nixon's

And today Nixon would get away with his crimes as is Trump.

Republicans back then were willing to hold a President accountable for criminal acts. Not today
You mean the way Democrats refused to hold Bill Clinton accountable for perjury and obstruction of justice, not to mention that they were totally okay with Clinton's willingness to smear Kathleen Willey for daring to complain about his sexual harassment?

I take it you're unaware that we've known for a number of years now that the main charges against Nixon were based on fake evidence, and that the legal procedures used against him were illegal and grossly inappropriate.

Yea, we knew prosecuting over a blowjob was not the role of Congress

Nixon was removed because he was trying to stop the Viet Nam war, and nothing was going to help him.
He had already been in office four years to stop the war
