Russia rejects Trump's demand for a Ukraine war ceasefire in 50 days as unacceptable

Russia has rejected President Trump's "ultimatum" for Moscow to sign a ceasefire deal to end the war in Ukraine within 50 days on Tuesday as "unacceptable," calling for continued negotiations and insisting that the invasion ordered by President Vladimir Putin would continue until its goals are achieved.

In response to President Trump's threat to impose 100% secondary tariffs on countries that do business with Russia if Putin's government does not agree to a deal to end the war in that timeframe, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said Tuesday that "any attempts to make demands, especially ultimatums, are unacceptable to us," according to Russia's state-run TASS news agency.

Putin is in no mood to placate Donald. He says "negotiate" while he is bombing maternity wards. trump has either seen the light or he is playing another game of waiting until Russia takes the entirety of Ukraine. It is hard to tell. But there is no "negotiating" with Putin. The only thing that will stop him is force. And I doubt trump is going to use that leverage. Will trump see this as another pie in the face or will be just keep rolling the ball down the court?

Not many take Trump seriously anymore.

Trump is in a complicated position as our president right now.

Question for the room...

Can we all agree on that?

It is a new world. In the Olde Dayz, when you kicked the shit out of a country, killed hundreds of thousands of soldiers, destroyed their infrastructure, killed lots of civilians, "leaders" would see the writing int he wall and surrender. Putin doesn't give a **** about his armed Forces or infrastructure.

In some way, NATO and the U.S. have to figure out a way to attack Russia militarily in a meaningful way, kinda like what Trump did to Iran. Maybe blow up their navy, some power plants, refineries, or a major bridge or two. And when Putin brings out his nuclear threat, just tell him we will vaporize him. And mean it.

Just need to ask the Ayatollah.
This time he was careful not to say "in two weeks". You and I both know that all the ribbing and jokes that brought on is the whole reason he did it.

It's so funny when Putin acts like he'll use nuclear weapons knowing the first nuke he slings will end Russia as we know it within minutes. He's a paper tiger.
