Carter was a Nobel Peace Prize winner, peanut farmer, and Georgia governor who became the 39th president of the United States after winning the 1976 election. He served one term in the White House, losing to former California Governor Ronald Reagan in 1980.

Carter was a boob. A good man at heart who let compassion and the desire to feel like he was pontificating goodness upon the world by abusing the power of his office blind him to his real duties and responsibilities.

• After spending the equivalent of a trillion dollars and sacrificing 38,000 people in the building of the Panama Canal, an item of strategic importance to the USA, he GAVE IT AWAY to Panama for a DOLLAR, who has since given control of it to China while still sending us the bills.
• He was absolutely incapable of resolving the Iranian hostage crisis, in fact, his weakness probably caused it.

Give them a break. When they have a failed ideology it's impossible to come up with a good candidate. Many are hoping for younger blood but the younger ones are the ones who want progressivism and the voters clearly reject progressivism.

There's a lot of truth to that statement. Jimmy Carter was easily the worst president this country ever had


until Joe Biden came along to capture the mantel. So, Jimmy Carter went to his grave knowing that he is unburdened by what has been and history will remember Joe Biden as the worst president the country has ever had, so bad that his own party had to kick him out even after winning the primaries. It will be almost impossible for that record to ever be broken.

The history books won't whitewash what happened and say that Biden voluntarily resigned because he was a true selfless patriot who put country over party. Hell, he still has sour grapes claiming he would have won if Democrats hadn't forced him out.

Governor Gavin Newscum refused to sign the water restoration declaration put before him that would have allowed millions of gallons of water, from excess rain and snow melt from the North, to flow daily into many parts of California, including the areas that are currently burning in a virtually apocalyptic way. He wanted to protect an essentially worthless fish called a smelt, by giving it less water (it didn't work!), but didn't care about the people of California. Now the ultimate price is being paid. I will demand that this incompetent governor allow beautiful, clean, fresh water to FLOW INTO CALIFORNIA! He is the blame for this. On top of it all, no water for fire hydrants, not firefighting planes. A true disaster!

Yet another thing to add on to an infinite number of dem policies which backfired. I think that if we had a large grassroots campaign in California the red team could turn the state a 50/50 purple. I don't see how their residents can take more of democrats backfiring bullshit.

I don't think this will answer your question but I'd like to believe (maybe I'm naive) that democrats go into this with mostly good intentions, honestly thinking that their policies will work to address the very problems they are designed for - helping the poor, income and wealth inequality, the environment, homelessness, crime, etc. And, many of their policies, if you don't analyze them, sound good on paper. But, they have two main problems:

1. They don't really fully analyze what they want to do before they do it. If it sounds good, just do it because if it sounds good it can't possibly fail.

2. When their policies backfire they don't own up to it and learn. They just automatically assume that their policies can't fail so they figure the only reason they don't work is because they didn't do enough of what didn't work so they wind up doing more of what doesn't work. And, they never learn because they can't possibly fathom that their policies to help people don't work because policies designed to help people can't possibly fail.

So, I don't know if that means they are totally incompetent or just plain stupid. But, it is in their genetics. It is a genetic disease but the only cure would be gene therapy. But, like being an alcholic, you have to first admit you have a problem first in order to see that you need gene therapy. Right now they can't see that they have a problem.

And I have heard them use that excuse many a time. In these deep dark blue states that are run completely by democrats, when the right shows them how much their policies fail, they immediately blame it not on the state and local laws THEY passed, but they blame it on the federal government, where they can always blame their own failures on Republicans.
