I know our corruption hawks are pleased with Kash at FBI and there is a big part of me that is hopeful. In all honesty I am a bit cautious because, unlike Trump, he may not be as interested in peacemaking and nixing any appearance of poltitical persecution/prosectuion. I am quite certain Kash will never be corrupt and underhanded as Garland and Wray have been, but I don't even want the appearance of vindictive lawfare. So I hope Trump and Kash have a clear understanding about that.

Well, that is a joke. Congress should not be asking government agencies to preserve documents, that should be a legal given. What they ought to be doing is spelling out harsh penalties for agency heads who fail to do so, destroying evidence. The FBI was an investigative agency which grew prosecutorial powers all of its own doing--- why does Congress not grow some enforcement and prosecutorial powers of its own?!
