My joint replacements cause the metal detector to beep. My gold necklace causes the metal detector to beep. The metal button on my jeans causes the metal detector to beep. It would seem there would be some component of metal in this that would set off the metal detector. But I don't know much about explosives.

Or question syringes some people have to have to mix their medicine. Like me! I'm thinking I may just mail all my supplies to my daughter when we go on vacation and let her take them. I am flying, they are driving. It takes two 50ml syringes and one 15ml syringe to mix my medication.

But I have to say, and I have said this before, last year I offered 4 different times to let them examine my medication pump and all 4 times they declined. It is a 2 pound rectangular pump with the pump and cassette together, that rides in a fanny pack around my waist. They weren't the least big curious.

AND I got on with a pair of surgical scissors in my purse. I think they must have been lying under a metal business card case when they x rayed my stuff.
