They aren't innocent. In the past there are indications that inn9cent people may have been executed. Those are very old cases before forensics has had the advances it has had. I know men on death row. I would have cheerfully sliced and diced them personally.It's not about how it effects them, but about what's best for us. Do you really want the responsibility of killing an innocent person? That's what we have been doing.
Those admitted and understood to be thrill killers are never innocent. There is no point to keeping them locked up. They should be put down with the same dispassion as we put down an animal that has gone mad.
