The admonitions were designed to produce a strong tribe to defend them from all their perceived enemies. Apparently shellfish was an enemy back then too.

Only an ignorant god ( created by ignorant people ) would condemn people for who they are. Jesus spoke to his followers in language they could understand. He didn't understand the nature of all mankind and was also limited by the primitive thought of the time. Unfortunately the d signers of the Bible didn't try to explain or understand the basics either.

Adultery, greed, gluttony, etc.

2 Timothy 3 2-5.
 
So as a Christian...where do you want homosexuals to go to worship? Are you saying there is no room in the church for them but you'll happily take adulterers?
