Big Red One had Kasserine in it.The degree to which a historic battle is famous is not always an indication of how decisive it was since the victors write the history books.
An important battle about which no Hollywood movie has been made nor is likely to be made was the Battle of Kasserine Pass since it was a humiliating defeat for the inexperienced Allies against the outnumbered, out gunned and battle weary German forces.
I have read that in several instances, Rommel, who was virtually always outnumbered, short on fuel and related supplies and without air cover used light utility vehicles to drag brush creating so much dust that it gave the illusion of a much larger force. With the low visibility, the Allies were left to inflict more casualties on themselves than were caused by Rommel's numerically inferior forces.
The Battle of Vienna (Sept. 12, 1683) against the invading Ottoman Turks was perhaps a more significant battle because it determined the fate of Western Europe.
The infamous Ottoman siege cannon proved to be less effective against Vienna's defenses than in earlier battles.
I couldn't resist posting a photo of one of the cumbersome and ornate weapons.

Lepanto, Stalingrad, Megiddo, Yorktown, Midway....hiw many more do you want?
there was a movie the Big Red One. with Lee Marvin in it.I'm not sure what you mean.
Do you mean that The Big Red One participated in the battle of Kasserine?
Rommel was both insightful and gracious enough to comment that the inexperienced Americans may have lost the battle but seemed to be quick learners.
Thanks,
AusterlitzCannae.

El Alamein.
I responded to the claim that the battle of Kasserine Pass was not and would never be in a film. I know tons of important battles, the one I would talk about that is from medieval times was already mentioned Agincourt. Thanks, I've heard of it but don't particularly like war movies.
I prefer more educational movies featuring bikinis, dinosaurs and mud wrestling....
Do you have a battle in mind that you think is noteworthy in some way?
Thanks,
Ok, Lepanto, last naval battle to be fought entirely with rowed ships. Halted the Ottoman expansion towards the west, and effectively separated the Mediterranean into east and west, the east controlled by the Ottomans, and the west by the Spanish. How about closing one particular battle that you found interesting or unusual and explaining why? (If you feel like it, of course)
I'm interested in other opinions.
i dont think so , even if stalin- hitler´s PACT´d hold, USA produced 50%+ of the world GDP in 40s
Hate to break it to ya but Germany declared War on the US dunce. As for peace with Germany Britain was right to fight on. The Generals i Germany would not have succeeded in replacing Hitler and IF a civil war broke out the Soviets would have invaded.
As for peace with Germany Britain was right to fight on.
interesting, but always remember Bolshevik Stalin has stared WW2 (NOT Hitler or Churchill)Yes, dummy, I know better than to try to be civil to traitorous Zionist shills and I know that Germany declared war on the US only because it was bound by a treaty with Japan.
Re:
If you knew anything about WW 2 other than what Hollywood propagandists have poured into your head, you would know that it was Churchill who wanted war with Germany, not all of Britain.
Remember:
“Winston Churchill: "We will force this war upon Hitler, if he wants it or not." - Winston Churchill (1936 broadcast)”

The history truth about WWII you should know!
"Winston Churchill: We will force this war upon Hitler, if he wants it or not. - Winston Churchill (1936 broadcast) Germany becomes too powerful. We have to crush it. - Winston Churchill (November 1936 to US-General Robert E. Wood) Germanys unforgivable crime before WW2…"

Finally, just because you are ignorant about Stalin's plan to invade Germany, the rest of Europe and more doesn't mean that "M - Day" wasn't a reality.
Read and learn:
"Examining Stalin’s 1941 Plan to Attack Germany"
EXCERPT "This most recent compendium of Russian revisionist writings deepens our understanding of Stalin’s preparations for a military first-strike against Germany in the summer of 1941. The strategic deployment plan, approved by Stalin at a conference on May 15, 1941, with General Staff chief Georgi Zhukov and Defense Commissar Semen Timoshenko, called for a Blitzkrieg:
"Three recurrent terms in the mobilization plan of May 15 confirm the aggressive character of Stalin’s plan. “A sudden strike” (vnyyzapni udar), “forward deployment” (razvertyvaniye), and “offensive war” (nastupatel’naya voyna). Of the 303 [Soviet] divisions assembled on the western front, 172 were assigned to the first wave of attack.
One month was allotted for the total deployment – the period from June 15 to July 15. Mikhail Melitiukhov: “On this basis it appears that the war against Germany would have to have begun in July.”
This anthology also devotes much attention to analyzing Stalin’s speech of May 5, 1941, delivered to graduates of Soviet military academies. In this speech Stalin justified his change of foreign policy in connection with the now decided-upon attack against Germany. From the Communist point of view even a Soviet war of aggression is a “just war” because it serves to expand the “territory of the socialist world” and “to destroy the capitalist world.” CONTINUED
