With US over $39 trillion in debt now, Bessent tells us there is "plenty of money" for Iran war

Yeah bro I've opposed right wing stupid wars my whole life because I want a credit card! What a big brain you have! :lmao:

There is nothing conservative about W's invasions of Iraq and Afghan, nor Trump's in Iran.

Learn what the word means, instead of parroting the "faux Fox News" crowd...

Bessent's "hedge fund" (Key Square Capital Management) lost over 90% of its assets between 2016 and 2024.

He's an incompetent fraud and failure. He'll say anything. So, he fits right in with this goddamn clown show.

Did his hedge fund do well in 2001?

What did he invest in that year, oil gold defense and long bond???

Cenk Uygur and others quickly pounce on this and say that completely discredits every attempt to cut spending.

We are $39 trillion in debt, the deficit can't seem to get under $1 trillion per year, even with the "conservative" party in power. But when it comes to war in the Middle East that Israel wants with precisely zero US national interest, the federal debt fears and all the arguments for cutting spending are tossed in the trash can....

because to the "Only Israel Matters" Party, only Israel matters, America does not...

This is why we need a Third Party, because neither the post 1998 "Only Israel Matters" GOP and the Kleptocratic Conspiracy Dems care about it... and we need a party that does before we default.

Not sure why you think only Israel matters

It doesn’t. We are certainly on the same side, along with the rest of the Middle East, against Iran

But there are certainly more issues then that

another WTF one....

Wars cost America money and lives. Wars are not "good business." What an incredibly sick answer from a treasonous Zionist Fascist.

Iraq and Afghan cost America well over $10 trillion, and hundreds of thousands of good innocent Americans were killed or maimed.

The more lives the better.
That is standard Deep State policy .

And ,of course , Wars are super profitable for the already super rich .
That is their very point .

Wake Up.

What have they done for America, all the selling out to the Israel Lobby?

minus $50 trilion

That's more than the Fed Debt.
Try again. It took 198 years for the national debt to surpass $500B in 1974. Seven years later it surpassed $1T for the first time ever. Forty-two years later we are at nearly $40T dollars. I'm not advocating for war---I'm just showing you history and the fact that two world wars and two far east police actions kept the debt below what we've seen since.

You should really check your anti-semitism at the door. It is totally irrelevant to your argument.

LOL, $253B national debt after 174 years in spite of the second world war in 30 years. Yeah, how does that compare to a $39T debt that is 38 times what it was in 1982.

You are arguing war is good for America. Aside from stockholders in defense contractors, that's completely false, and a really sick thing to claim.

I'm not arguing anything of the sort. War makes money--what better way to make money than to make weapons that people PAY YOU FOR then BLOW UP. Its a never ending business. Now with technology--that industry can profit by it as well. I haven't said a word about advocating for that, I'm just presenting historical fact.
