......the SC to the rescue.

The Supreme Court is hearing a case that could weaken the Voting Rights Act — and upend the midterms

The Supreme Court on Wednesday will hear arguments in a case that could gut the Voting Rights Act by barring states from considering the racial makeup of voting populations when drawing district lines — an outcome that stands to change the course of next year’s midterm elections.

In adopting that approach, the justices could upend decades of court decisions holding that states may — and sometimes must — use race-conscious redistricting to protect the voting power of minorities.

TX kicked off a virtually unheard of mid-decade, gerrymandering bonanza with redistricting typically occurring after the every 10 year census. I suspect other red states will get very busy before Nov. 2026 if the Court's conservatives finish the job they started of gutting the VRA.

The Supreme Court just dropped a hint about its next big Voting Rights Act case

What polls are indicating the Republicans may have a tough time in the midterms? Democrats continue to shoot themselves in the foot, including ******* up in Virginia, New Jersey, Illinois and California while federal government has closed down the government for over two weeks now.

Even assuming that the OP's title is true re: polling results, it is ironic that you post that you agree with gerrymandering (even if race is the deciding factor). LMAO, I guess you stepped on a piece of your anatomy with this one.

But.......as you know........it isn't. No Dem prez has ever, ever, instructed state parties to cheat in order to maintain a majority in the House. And no SC has ever broken with so many precedents on the grounds of political ideology rather than legal ones.

Ending discriminatory voting districts based solely on race is about equality, you know, one of the foremost important ideologies this country stands for. Why do you hate equality?

Bullshit. The GOP is trying to gerrymander white districts and dilute black ones

Politico? Is that the best you can do? Just before last November's election Politico quoted a "mega" British poll that allegedly indicated Kamala would win. Politico found someone named Alan Lichman who claimed Kamala would win. Politico found some anonymous Wall Street spokesperson who claimed that the stock market indicates that Kamala will win. Politico is a biased phony news source but lefties love it because it tells them what they want to hear.

"it isn't" what?
No Dem prez has ever, ever, instructed state parties to cheat in order to maintain a majority in the House.
because if they had they would have told us :abgg2q.jpg: ...who's accusing them of that? you are denying something without an accusation being made!
And no SC has ever broken with so many precedents on the grounds of political ideology rather than legal ones.
because no SC was ever this diverse... and previous SC's didn't need to, they just had to rule in favor of those who held the same political ideological views and the press would hail them as ground breakers and champions of long needed change...you may want to break with "precedent" yourself when trump starts trying to lock up his political opponents.

I don't like what's going on here, but folks like me have been warning white liberals about this for decades, unfortunately the socially educated don't and didn't care until of course it was/is to late.

Polls of only TDS suffering neo-leftists all point to a blue tsunami. Polls of all other people point to a red tsunami.

Makes sense to me. We prevent discrimination by discriminating.

That's your whole problem, the notion there should be 'black' districts. There should only be districts, without any special consideration for anyone. You loons hate equality. It is very sad but also predictable.

No Dem prez has ever, ever, instructed state parties to cheat in order to maintain a majority in the House.
Because if they had they would have told us right :abgg2q.jpg: ...through gerrymandering they already had them and had it not been for the white liberals in the party that may never have changed.
And no SC has ever broken with so many precedents on the grounds of political ideology rather than legal ones.
and no SC was ever this diverse, just old white men who saw creative ways of ruling in favor of those whose ideology they agreed with...

I don't like the way things are going and/or the way they are headed, but I have felt that way since the 60's and like many others, have said so endlessly, so now the socially educated are about to inherit the results of not heeding those warnings as trump, in keeping with "predcednt", is going to treat his political opponents the way they have treated him.
