It isn’t just them. The FDA has been cracking down on Juul as well. This may be cynical as all get out, but I think this more about protecting the tobacco industry from competitors than it is some noble cause to protect the children. If kids are going to get to get a nicotine fix, it better be from RJ Reynolds. It would quite interesting to see how much campaign contributions these members are getting from Big Tobacco. These hearings also provide a great opportunity for clips that will be later used in future campaign ads.
