Why a Bud Light boycott in the U.S. won't matter
The beer brand is among several names facing boycott calls over pro-LGBT campaigns, but it may be of little consequence to them.

"It's the latest instance of a conservative public figure calling for a bad-faith boycott against a food brand they feel has been drafted into the culture wars. These boycotts are often comically short-lived, such as when former President Donald Trump called on his supporters to skip drinking Coca-Cola after the soda manufacturer spoke out against restrictive voting laws in its home state of Georgia — only for online sleuths to quickly point out a half-drunk bottle of Diet Coke on his desk just a few days later. Each week, it seems as though conservatives have a new nemesis, from Ben & Jerry'sand Coke to M&M's and Oreo. If this purported culture war feels cyclical — it is. Those events took place in April 2022, almost exactly a year ago to the day."
Problem is........since both parties (but especially Republicans) have looked the other way while handful of corporations have been able to buy up huge percentages of the market; culture war based boycotts like these are indeed laughed at -- because of how futile they are......but Conservative Super-Patriot Matt Walsh brings up a brilliant point......Just focus on one smaller company and try to make an example out of them...
And he is right....the right-wing has been behind the culture war since the 60's -- when they were on the wrong side of the civil rights movement...which forced them to lick their wounds and concede that blatantly opposing it was not a winning strategy...then they were on the wrong side of the women's rights issue...and then they were caught slipping on the gay rights issue, etc, etc, etc....So as he says, nearly every company is woke now, so what to do?
But then again, you can't take much of what these reactionary right-wingers say seriously because they will just contradict themselves later...because this is also Matt Walsh just a few of years ago...
