I believe Trump should offer to shake hands at the start and end of the debate. Unlike his rudeness or disdain to Biden.

Well to be fair, Biden was being brought in for a landing at his correct podium by the hosts of their debate. Biden needed to focus on that. If Trump had shaken Biden's hand and Biden didn't recognize him, or got lost, or tripped trying to make his way to his place, Trump would have been blamed. If Trump had waited until Biden was at his correct podium and walked over to shake hands, he would have been accused of being aggressive and too much of an Alpha Male.
