Man is a restless soul always looking for new challenges,places to go explore, settle down, Those places and things are all gone except for space and even that dream is barely flickering. Yes there has been renewed interest but actual progress is ephemeral. Where will this latent energy be channeled or will it be bred out as dronification of new society advances.

Not only this, but the reality that space has nearly limitless resources is reason enough to go outwards.
