Because the south is poorer.


Duh.

Looks like Spidy's back for an ass kicking.

The cost of living is much less in The South, mainly due to less government and thus, taxes. My Real Estate taxes are 1/4 or what they were in New York. And up there I didn't have the services that I enjoy here.

I think it is because the south is poorer. More poor people are inclined to live in southern states because the utilities are cheaper. There are people in Louisiana who will die if it freezes and they stay in their homes because they aren't able to keep the cold out and don't have heaters...

Is France poorer than Louisiana? They have hundreds die every year during heat waves. How about Detroit?
