Historical revisionism notwithstanding, the only way to change it is with a Constitutional amendment. And the states what will get hosed by it will never agree to it. So, we're stuck with the system as it is. That means, if you want to win, you can't just dismiss the flyover states and focus on urban centers. You'll have to give some attention to the concerns of the hillbillies. Sorry. Not sorry.

One man, one vote. I lived in Rhodesia towards the end of the Ian Smith government. "One Man, One Vote" was the call of every freedom-loving citizen.

Why should 2 states have more say than 80% of the rest of the country ?
In any case, there is a way to abolish it, you just need to get the congress to amend the cotus or get a convention of states.
At which point we'll get an up close explanation of why it's necessary.
