Will Russia try to expand into NATO countries while the U.S is bogged down dealing with Iran?

No. What is it about?
Exactly about the NATO's promise not to expand eastward.

Sarotte's research explores why a new European security framework failed to emerge after the Cold War and how decisions made during that period planted the roots of today’s geopolitical tensions. Her analysis connects the lack of cohesive cooperation at the time to ongoing rivalries and unresolved conflicts in modern international relations, illustrating how historical choices continue to shape global challenges.

The title of the book, Not One Inch, refers to James Baker's famous statement to Mikhail Gorbachev that NATO would expand "not an inch" to the east. The analysis relies on extensive sources, including over 100 interviews and primary documents and records of contacts between the White House and the Kremlin. Many of the sources she used had previously been classified.

Not One Inch was recommended as one of the best books on foreign policy by Foreign Affairs in 2021 and named one of the Best Books to Read by the Financial Times in 2022.

I don't listen to many Russian military songs.
They mention Chicago? Wow!
Cubs or Sox? Pizza? Hot dogs?
No. The authors of the song didn't know much about everydays life in Chicago. Actually, among other things they even mention cocos palms. Basically its more about universal things - pillagin, raping, drinking vodka, hunting and teasing locals, etc... You know, what the military songs (especially unofficial) are about.
It's quite successful process of denazification

Did they get all two dozen nazis yet? And it took over 3 years (and counting)?
As I said, it is denazification in the Russian understanding of the term. And no, there are no two dozen nazies.

More likely they'll support and teach Mexicans.

Will the Mexicans be using 60-year-old Russian tanks?
Or low riders?
Who knows, but more likely they will use UAVs and chemical/biological weapons. There is no much need for tanks if the borders are already open.

When did NATO promise that?

The title of the book, Not One Inch, refers to James Baker's famous statement to Mikhail Gorbachev that NATO would expand "not an inch" to the east.

Statement? Not a treaty?

UAVs from Russia to Chicago?

James Baker, the US Secretary of State, made the statement "not one inch" during a meeting with Eduard Shevardnadze, the Soviet Foreign Minister, on February 9, 1990. This statement, part of negotiations leading to the unification of Germany, concerned the expansion of NATO eastward. Baker's words, referencing a commitment that NATO forces would not expand beyond the borders of a united Germany, became a key point in the subsequent dispute over the interpretation of these agreements.

Right. Not a treaty.

Trump cannot duplicate the same errors as the U.S made in the past. If Israel is aware of the nuclear locations they will have to be tasked with taking them out if Iran doesn't peacefully agree.

Putin is dragging this out and is now openly telling Trump "I am going to attack Ukraine due to this latest attack".

I'm guessing Putin doesn't care about Trump either. Biden, Bush, Obama, Trump...Putin doesn't care and I wonder if he is waiting until the U.S is bogged down and then China AND Russia will attack while Europe will be busy setting up meetings to discuss world issues.
They’ve taken 3 years to seize about 22% of Ukraine. It’s a fool notion that they’ve got their sights on anything more.

Right. Not a treaty.
As if America don't violate treaties when it think it is safe.

If there is a mutual understanding - treaties are not really necessary. If people in America do have understanding that it is not safe to jump off the roof of a scyscraper, they don't jump - whatever if they sign a contract not to jump off the roof or not. Ok, absolute majority of them don't do it. If you delirious mind had produced an illusion of safety and idea that you can actually go jump off the roof of a scyscraper and fly, or go eastward and kill Russians (directly or indirectly) and survive - no signed paper can prevent it, because if you think it is safe, your brain is already too damaged to understand the meaning of the written text.

Mutual understanding? LOL!

Mutual understanding? LOL!
Like "We don't expand Warsaw pact (or even dismount it) and don't kill Americans, and America don't expand NATO (or even dismount it) and don't kill Russians. We do it not only because we agree not to do it, but mostly because we understand that expansionism of military alliances and killing each other is naturally a bad idea".

Mutual understanding? LOL!
Do you understand that if you continue your current political course, millions of Americans will die before 2030 or, may be, even before 2026? If you don't understand it, than yes, any talks about "mutual understanding", "possibility of peaceful coexistence", "common safety and prosperity" are quite meaningless and even hilarious. There is only war and carnage in the nearest future.

The US have been breaking treaties since they sat down with Sitting Bull, just before they murdered him.

If was those Russians going on vacation in Ukraine.
Just a coincidence.
There were some Russian volunteers that isn't the Russian Government launching a full blown invasion like you clowns try and frame the narrative, there are also thousands and were in 2014 Western mercenaries on the /ukrainian side, many never saw home again.

Mostly a bunch of Nazi sympathizers that aren’t missed even by their mothers. That little bunch of Neos that orchestrated the Oklahoma bombing had leaders that trained in Ukraine.

Latest news Russia offered to send 6000 dead Ukrainian Soldiers back to the Ukraine Regime, Zelensky has refused to take them, because he would have to pay benefits to the dead Soldiers families costing over two billion, he would rather put that cash in his Swiss Bank account.
