Essentially, man first walked on the moon because of political reasons, and not really scientific ones. Simply put, those scientists getting the US to the moon were all pawns in the Cold War against the Soviets to beat the Soviets to the moon. It was all for propaganda purposes, something the US wanted badly since the Soviets beat the US into space.

But today, is there still enough political motivation to pay scientists to return to the moon? Apparently there is.

Sources within NASA have leaked a plan for the US to return to the moon, not to beat the Russians this time, but to put the first black woman on the moon, all to appease the DEI, PC crowd, ideology that the US is now shoving down the throats of every country in the world, as we see with the money flowing from USAID.

We never went to the moon. The moon is outside the firmament. And we cant penetrate the firmament. 🤪

I posted an article explaining how a firm in the US landed on the Moon. But hold on, it flipped over and can't be used.

Texas-based Firefly Aerospace landed its Blue Ghost on Sunday. Athena's target landing site is located closer to the lunar south pole than any human or vehicle has traveled before. Intuitive Machines became the first commercial company ever to soft-land a spacecraft on the moon last year with its Odysseus lander.

People have a hard time getting safely past the Van Allen radiation belts

I don't care if it's an albino trans lesbian disabled Muslim wiccan atheist that puts their foot down first, just get back there.

There was a joke about sending a black person to the moon back in the days of JFK and Khrushchev. Perhaps someone (else) can recall it. ;)

Who filmed Neil Armstrong stepping onto the lunar surface the first time?

Who filmed the capsule lifting off and then brought the film back? Or were they hooked up to wifi?
You know that in 1969, we knew how to transmit video signals wirelessly, right?

Looks like a good place to put a penitentiary. Virtually inexcapable.

Mining operations could be set up for prison labor.

Because let them have their little historical footnote if it gets us back to the moon, then permanently basing the moon, then going interplanetary.

I'd like to see a Mars colony by the time I die.

This is the one thing progressives lack, the ability to give the other side something if our side gets something more valuable.

Like the moon, why go to Mars?

they don't need humans on the moon
they can explore the moon much less expensively and safer with rovers

We have not been to the moon in 50 years. Almost everyone who walked on the moon are dead

I like living in a world where some of us have walked on the moon
