Will cutting their allowance make naughty Trumpers behave?

"No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot" Mark Twain...sounds like Mark Twain tried to reason with a conservative at one time.
Trump, far too weak a character to man up and accept that he clearly lost, instead, with no credible evidence whatever, insists he won in a "landslide!"

What right wing Republicans are perpetuating is known as the Big Lie. Goebbels belived that if you repeat something long enough people will gradually accept it as factual..like Trump's cult did.
There is no question the Big Lie has been successful for the RWNJs' weasel-in-chief. And his 29,000+ small to very large lies have kept his devoted RWNJs enthralled for five years.

The Big Lie was effective in many different forms throughout Hitler's rise to power, and the RWNJs' weasel-in-chief came very close to the same success as Hitler in convincing his devoted cultists to help him create his fourth reich.

Fortunately, over 80 million voters ended their fascist/Nazi dream.

(Only a weasel would throw the insurgents he sent to the Capitol to attempt his coup, under the bus by blaming them for everything, AND saying they should be severely punished.)

The riots last summer were due to Republicans refusal to deal with escalating police violence towards minorities, and police shooting of 1000 Americans in each of the last five years. Police shootings are increasing, as are the payout to families of the victims. While police don't even face charges.

Has it ever occurred to you that the police typically shoot people who are resisting arrest? Maybe, just maybe, if people would stop being belligerent, they wouldn’t get shot. Don’t give me the crap about unarmed black people being shot. The numbers last year were lower than under Obama by quite a bit. There were very few with respect to the number of overall police encounters. Also, just because someone was unarmed, doesn’t mean they were resisting or attempting to cause harm.

The right wing behaviour we saw last week was based on the lie that Donald Trump won the election, and his incitement of the mob was based on Big Lie that the election was stolen. BIG difference in these behaviours. Big, big difference. Democrats didn't incite the violence last summer, and they called for peace in the demonstrations.

That is your opinion. It certainly seems as though rioting, looting, burning and taking over federal buildings is ok as long as, in your opinion, the cause is justified. I didn’t see the outrage about the actions of these folks in Seattle taking over a police station a few city blocks for months. A few hundred of tens of thousands charge Capitol Hill in an attempt to get an investigation for what they think is a fraudulent election and you folks go nuts. If the Democrats were willing to turn a blind eye to all the violence and mayhem of the last year, just imagine what they would have done if the shoe was on the other foot. Capital Hill would have been destroyed and the MSM and folks like you would all be claiming it was a “peaceful” protest from folks excersing their 1st Amendment rights and not giving in to a tyrannical government dictatorship who is trying to cheat to win an election. They would DEMAND an investigation at the very least. Heck, the Democrats would investigate with FAR, FAR less evidence already presented regarding election fraud. Yep, you know it and we all know it.

Psychologists will feast on this period forever.
The psychopathology will afford analysis aplenty. A paranoidal, megalomaniacal, narcissistic, pathological liar being awarded public housing for four years and fomenting a rebellion against the People when told to vacate will read like an over-the-top literary collaboration between Tom Clancy and Stephen King. Chilling!

Would doing the same to the Democrats who turned a blind eye to the riots going on across the country all last year because calling them out was not politically advantageous them make them grow up and act responsible? Rhetorical question every honest person already knows the answer.

Prog cities and states have their own Police Criminal Codes.

Well, the precedent had already been set multiple times, especially Europe 80 to 90 years ago, so this period will fit in just fine.

I'd guess that one question they will ask is, "how in the world did they not learn?"

" their delusion that Trump had, inexplicably, won the election "

So all that stuff about Russia hacking 2016's election was somehow more...uh.. plicable than 2020's election being hacked from the inside of the country?

" their delusion that Trump had, inexplicably, won the election "
"... in a landslide"?

Yes, after four years of consistent, relentlessly negative ratings in numerous independent public surveys, suddenly winning in a landslide would be inexplicable. To seriously entertain such a fantastical result would be quite delusional.

Stranger things have happened. For instance remember that time when Russia hacked our election?

I assume that you are reminiscing about Russia's interfering in the 2016 presidential election to hurt Clinton and help Trump as uncovered by the FBI, NSA, CIA and confirmed by two Republican-controlled Senate Intelligence Committees?

Report of the Select Committee on Intelligence United States Senate on Russian Active Measures Campaigns and Interference in the 2016 U.S. Election

Why would you find that strange? Putin meddled in several democracies' elections to further Russia's interests.
