I heard De Niro compare Trump to Hitler and Mussolini.

I heard the repeated calls from politicians akin to the Town Crier, "if Trump wins it will be the end of democracy".

I hear media figureheads with dramatic and pained expressions, "he will arrest me and throw me in prison or a camp for liberals".

On and on they repeat these ethereal chants without blinking an eye, serious as cancer. I'm not sure who their audience is or who believes these dire warnings at this point, but regardless, they trudge on.


I say this with complete sincerity because based on their bold, straight faced allegations and warnings, if they genuinely believe this, for however deficient their understanding of history may be (I suspect they DON'T believe this gross hyperbole at all); there is no way I or anyone with a semblance of common sense would remain stagnant in a country if ruled by either Hitler or Mussolini.

If citizens of that long gone era knew what those tyrants were going to instill in their countries, they would have left also.

So, if Trump wins, it is time for these people to be loyal to their words for once. They must vacate America for the duration of Trumps term (which for them seems to be suggested will be forever), Or, take the extraneous step of denouncing their citizenship and leaving permanently.

Of all the lies, deception about facts, gas lighting and fearmongering, it is time they are called out on these extremist characterizations of Trump.

We can only hope. I saw the other day some actress said that if Trump wins she will not live in a red state, like she would live in a red state now. And, remember, if Trump wins he will take democracy away, not only in red states but blue states too. So, she'd better just leave the country before it's too late.
