Here we have a perfectly healthy 65-year-old ethnic Mexican-American who contracted Covid-19 and died. And his daughter writes an obituary that goes viral, blaming her father's death on the politicians (wink, wink) who told her father that the dangers were not real, that there was no reason not to go about his business as he normally would. And as a result, he died. Presumably a terrible death.

The DNC latches on to the story and invites her to speak at the Democratic National Convention, and the rest, as they say, is history.

What, exactly, did the President and Governor say about the disease? Did they say, "Forget about 'social distancing' and the mask thing!"? And how did he contract the disease? Was he drinking in a bar or at a club? Was he wearing a mask and taking rational steps to protect himself?

And what is her background? She returned home to live with her father from "back East." Where, exactly? Is/was she politically active?

A "perfectly healthy" 65-year-old man has a low probability of dying from the disease, although a precise probability is difficult to ascertain from CDC data. CDC groups run 55-64, then 65-75, so the number for age 65 would be inflated by inclusion with older individuals. Also, Hispanic patients have a higher morbidity than so-called caucasians.

Regardless, blaming this death on politicians is an underhanded thing to do in addition to being illogical and unfounded.
