Why you can't avoid the impact of climate change even if you can't handle the science

Loss of habitat and crop failure will drive human migration that will overwhelm bureaucratic barriers. Survival is a powerful incentive.

This is just one economic consequence:

How do vehement climate change deniers intend to mitigate the cost of climate change?
In other words, thanks to the climate alarmism movement, insurance companies have found a new justification to hike rates.

Thanks, lefties!

Is Obama's seaside mansion underwater yet?

you can't cite empirical data

just did in post 14

you lie

you lie

and you lie

THE ACTUAL SATELLITE AND BALLOON DATA SHOWED NO WARMING IN THE ATMOSPHERE BEFORE BEING FUDGED IN 2005. EVEN NBC REPORTED IT.

We are waiting for

ONE SINGLE PHOTO OF SO CALLED OCEAN RISE

AND THE TRUTH IS THAT OCEANS ARE NOT RISING AND THAT IS WHY THEY CANNOT FIND US ANY PHOTOS OF IT

There is no cure for irrational denial.

Please keep your religious beliefs to yourself.

You are totally misinformed about climate change

I concede than it is warmer now than it used to be

When I was a kid winter with freezing temps started in November

Now its the middle to late January, sometimes even February before we see consistent freezing temps.

And by March Winter is all over

What that means to me is more pleasant deer hunting weather and a more robust garden that produces nutritious food all year long

Climate change denial is a perplexing and multifaceted phenomenon that seems to defy the weight of scientific evidence. Despite an overwhelming consensus among climate scientists regarding human-induced climate change, a significant number of individuals and groups persist in rejecting this reality. The roots of climate change denial run deep, intertwining scientific misunderstanding, psychological tendencies, and socio-political influences. It’s essential to unravel these layers to understand why this denial exists in the first place...
When confronted with the dire implications of climate change, some people may struggle to reconcile the need for urgent action with their existing beliefs or lifestyle choices. Instead of embracing the unsettling truth, many opt for denial as a coping mechanism. This psychological strategy allows them to maintain their daily routines without facing the anxiety and guilt associated with climate change and its consequences...
Our beliefs about climate change often reflect our social identities. In many places, beliefs about climate science have become associated with political affiliations, particularly in the United States. For instance, individuals who identify with conservative ideologies may reject climate change findings because accepting them could challenge their group’s values. This social identity plays a significant role in perpetuating denial. People may prioritize conformity and trust within their communities over accepting scientific consensus, fearing they may be ostracized for diverging from their group’s stance.

Tell people they can't build their homes in high risk areas or else pay very high insurance.

There is no way to differentiate between what is happening now and what has always happend. It's just that we are a larger population and between events we can build whole cities where they should not be built.

I lived in Northern California out side of Oakland where the hills would occassionally burn. That had always been the case. Only now, there were houses there. What changed.....nothing except people built homes where there had never been any homes.

You have the same issue in AZ where developers would put whole subdivisions in washes that would not fill but once every ten years.....

Guess what?

Another stupid thread by the master of stupid threads.

Along with climate change deniers, which I used to be, ask yourself about the climate change DOOMSDAY Chicken Little’s who over dramatize the subject

Nobody denies that the climate is changing.

They simply don't buy your bs explanation as to why it is happening.
Despite an overwhelming consensus among climate scientists regarding human-induced climate change,
Many of whom can't explain the science themselves because they work in a single area that does not address all that the garbage theories take in. So, they really are of no value or relevance.
a significant number of individuals and groups persist in rejecting this reality.
What is being rejected is the arrogance of the climate change industry (yep, it's a money generator). Nobody is denying that the climate changes....it always has.
The roots of climate change denial run deep, intertwining scientific misunderstanding, psychological tendencies, and socio-political influences.
Those same influences are what drive the lunatic conclusions and hysteria on the side of the alarmists that has essentially killed the credibility of the alarmists and the chance for a reasonable discussion.
When confronted with the dire implications of climate change,
Dire???? :laughing0301: :laughing0301: :laughing0301: :laughing0301:

Like those glaciers that melted 10 years ago....but didn't?
Instead of embracing the unsettling truth, many opt for denial as a coping mechanism.
What's unsettling is that some people want to push an unconfirmed science that can't predict crap (you know....all those hurricanes that never appeared after Katie).
This psychological strategy allows them to maintain their daily routines without facing the anxiety and guilt associated with climate change and its consequences...
You guys are always good for a laugh

How about you post something that isn't computer derived fiction. You NEVER post data. You post opinions, and fantasies.

According to an ongoing temperature analysis led by scientists at NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), the average global temperature on Earth has increased by at least 1.1° Celsius (1.9° Fahrenheit) since 1880. The majority of the warming has occurred since 1975, at a rate of roughly 0.15 to 0.20°C per decade.
Global temperature anomalies in 2022 tied for the fifth warmest year on record. The past nine years have been the warmest years since modern record-keeping began in 1880.
Trump doesn't understand or like science, so he tells his worshipers to despise it and has no alternative data to offer to them. He just tells them to believe whatever he tells them, and they do.

He once told them that it is a hoax perpetrated by China.

So, the Earth is warming up after the end of the Little Ice Age. Did they bother to mention that BEFORE the LIA the global temp was two degrees warmer than today?

No...they didn't? Why is that? Why are they only reporting half the facts?

Ohhhhh, riiiight....because if they actually reported ALL the facts they would have nothing. Nothing at all.

Prior to 1850, we never had crop failures, droughts, floods, wildfires or record high or low temperatures. At that time, Death Valley was known as Temperate Meadows

You appear confused.

Climatologists have recorded the ongoing rapid rise in temperature that reflects the dramatic increase in carbon emissions

Ideologues don't like it.

The "rapid rise" started after 1850, right?
