With due respect to Mr. Lewis, I think he misses the point.

Has there ever been a time (in recent history) when a sovereign nation formally and emphatically declared that it intended to obliterate a nearby country, as well as one on the other side of the world?

Nuclear aspirations or not, Iran declares constantly that it will not rest until Israel is gone, along with every Jew who lives there. They declare that the United States is the "Great Satan," and that it will do the same to the U.S. in the event that it obtains the means to do so. It is also worth mentioning that neither Israel nor the U.S. has any animosity against Persia or its people, except in reaction to the atrocities with which we are all familiar.

This alone justifies the attacks on Iran, as well as the pursuit of any means necessary to prevent Iran from building the tools necessary to carry out its stated intentions.

The lack of expressions of outrage from the usual suspects at the U.N. is telling.

There are a lot of pro Iranian isolationists with egg on their face today

Including obama

We have been told that Iran has existed for thousands of years and cannot be destroyed

Thats true

The Iranian people will survive this war

But the Islamic Republic may not

The dissolution of the muslim theocracy is happening so fast I can hardly believe it

But thanks to modern technology we are seeing it as it happens with our own eyes

This is historic

I have a theory

Trump needs war powers to bring about Nuremberg 2.0 and bring America's traitors to justice. This will usher in the new golden age.

Trump is bypassing Kash, Dan, and Pam.

I've an alternate theory ....
Trump could care less on the "Revenge Scenario" you propose.
Trump is for a neutralize Iranian threats scenario ....

If we go to war, it starts with massive bombing....none of this nickle and dime crap.

We learned that in Vietnam.

While they survived the bombing in Hanoi for a long time, once Nixon got ugly and really cut the AF loose, they came to the table in a hurry.

Referencing Operation Linebacker II:

However, the bombings achieved two effects. First the bombing raids destroyed military targets and curtailed North Vietnam's operations in South Vietnam. Next, the bombings took their psychological toll on individuals in Hanoi. Years later Mark Clodfelter would write in his book, The Limits of Airpower, "Individuals remaining in Hanoi received only an hour or two of sleep a night, their nerves strained by the continual attacks." He continued, "In eleven days aircraft dropped 13 percent of the tonnage delivered during the five months of Linebacker I."

After 11 nights of sustained heavy bombardment, Operation Linebacker II brought the North Vietnamese to the negotiation table. The North Vietnamese had run out of SAMs, and through continued air attacks the B-52 crews had helped to destroy the enemy's air defense system. With no end in sight, the North Vietnamese signaled that they wished to return to the Peace Talks in Paris. President Nixon ordered that the B-52s stand down and 29 days later on Jan. 27, 1973, a cease fire agreement ending the Vietnam War was signed. Operation Homecoming began Feb. 12, 1973, with the eventual release and return of 591 American prisoners of war.

After we killed Qaddafi, Great Satan is an understatement

Your assumption of there being a solid reason for why it had to be done now is not backed by any evidence. I believe, like with Ukraine’s drone attack, nobody told Trump. Netanyahu saw Trump’s political weakness and decided this was the best time to strike. Trump is just pretending he knew, IMO.

And who has no problem supporting terrorism.

And who is being egged on by Russia to do their dirty work.

That is just a lie.
Iran never threatened anyone.
Everyone should want Israel gone, but that means a 1 state solution where it is called Palestine, and no longer has an illegal state religion.

The US is the "great Satan" who murdered tens of thousands of innocent Iranian civilians in 1953 when the CIA conducted the destruction of the Iranian democracy, and installed the Shah as a dictator. That is well known history.
Claiming the US "has no animosities towards Persia" is an obvious lie, since they we would not have conducted Operation Ajax and wiped out their democracy.

Iran has a legal right to nukes are a defensive deterrent any claim that risks the US is false because Iran has not means of reaching the US with a nuke.

Wrong.
By illegally attacking Iran, Israel has proven that the Ayatollahs have been correct all this time, that there really are evil threats trying to attack Iran, and that they need to keep their powerful military.
Support for the Ayatollah was skyrocketed since this illegal attack.

15th post
Iran has a legal right to nukes
According to who or what ?

The only legal rights they have are the ones they can defend. And I can assure you that if we get serious, they won't have a rag left to cover their head by the time we are done.

Let's hope Iran wakes up... I think Trump is serious on bombing the facility...

Anyone attacking Iran has to be an idiot since drones capable or assassinating anyone are very cheap and easy to come by.
Anyone who tries to attack Iran will have a run in with a drone soon after.
