Willard's own father said it best "Only one year could be a fluke, perhaps done for show"

Willard's father presented 12 years of tax returns to show transparency to the american people.

Obama also has done so for 12 years.

Why won't Willard? :eusa_think:
When obamaturd reveals his secrets and the source for his campaign monies, then willard can.

Still waiting. The 300 million from the 08 campaign, the source. His college records. Know why? Because he is embarrassed about his less then stellar grades.

I dont need to know anything about his taxes................ If I did it would be law.

Ahahahahaha...yeah because congress does such a good job. On one hand you call govt incompetent, the next you hold them up as knowing what you need to know. That's funny but repubs always have a talking point that cancels their other talking point.

The next response will be: "uh did I say campaign funds...uh...I meant birth certificate....err...they have that too? Oh I meant college records!"

No matter what Obama gives them they'll demand mor while defending Mitt to not give anything. Next they ask for the placenta of Obamas mother, or proof he's not from krypton.

Thanks for at least admitting that you dont really consider it important and you just ask for it to distract from old Mittens

Not time to play the little liberals' reindeer games.. it is time to focus on the issues at hand... if this were against LAW, the liberals might have a leg to stand on.. it is not, and they do not

the Obama campaign will keep flinging poo, hoping something sticks, and harp on it like there is no tomorrow to get Romney off focus... for they cannot run on their own record

By law, Romney only has to provide the last two years of his tax returns.
Romney is within the law and within his rights.
Obama even though he has preached transparency in his Presidency has consistently gone to great lengths to hide his documentation.
What law requires him to give 2 years of tax returns to the public? Got a link to this law?

Didn't say it was.. as a matter of fact I made a pretty clear statement about poo flinging.. which is all this kind of politics is.... hoping something sticks in the press, is a good enough distraction, and keep doing it til something else sticks

As I said.. don't play these reindeer games... it really does not matter because the ones that will keep harping on this are ones who will not vote for Romney no matter what... there is really nothing to gain... and all it does is change focus and wastes time

Well, I guess you have to justify supporting less information some how. You and I know that Dems made the charge against Romney. Romney refuses to release previous records and that looks shady. Everyone knows that.

Romney could just ignore it and people with a brain will say "Maybe theres something to this" and decide Romney isnt trust worthy.

Also, Romney could release the previous tax returns and people with a brain will say "Dam...The dems were lying about that?" and decide that the Dems arent trust worthy. I.E. Obama's Birth Certificate

To pretend that the questions that continue to come from all sides should be ignored because it doesnt matter is fallacy. Whether you admit it or not....It is.

It looks shady?? Why?? The IRS has investigated him? There is any hint of impropriety beyond one 'anonymous' source claimed by a despicable politician?? The history of releasing personal information about taxes is what? You know how many McCain put out? Reagan??

Do you not see that this is pure distraction and poo flinging meant to put the focus on material that can only advance class warfare??

Now... if you want to talk about FULL VETTING, make a standard and put it ALL out there. Every public and/or private piece of history. Tax returns, employment reviews, medical history, educational history, police reports, EVERYTHING.... But no, this is SPECIFICALLY targeted to the flavor of the moment attack based on class warfare....

Either have a law of full vetting, or don't..

Personally I don't give a shit about tax returns, or college papers, or if the person sought counseling for emotional issues with divorce, or if they had a cancerous mole removed, or if they own 14 pieces of property in 5 different countries, or whatever along those lines...

Why does it look shady? Because people have asked for it from both sides and he refuses. That's why it looks shady....You know that. There isnt a standard to put it "all out there" whatever that means...but there is a standard that even Mitt father stood behind...Mitt cant demonize his daddy...and people from both sides have encouraged him to release it. You cant make this about Harry Reid when the support for him releasing has come from both sides....Mitt cant demonize both sides.

You can pretend that it doesnt look bad, or that people dont care...but you have to play that game with yourself because no one else believes that. Independents wont believe that and whether you "care" or not has nothing to do with how it looks....and it doesnt look good.

Here is how Thinkprogress put it:

The Romney campaign says he has released as many returns as candidate John Kerry did in 2004, and cites Teresa Heinz Kerry’s refusal to release any of her tax returns. Neither is an apt comparison. John Kerry actually released returns from 1999 through 2003, and also released tax returns during his Senate runs. As for Teresa Heinz, Romney isn’t the wealthy spouse of a candidate, but the candidate himself. In 2008, John McCain released two years of returns, but he had been filling out financial disclosure forms for decades as a senator. Romney protests that he is not legally obliged to release any tax returns. Of course not. He is no longer in the realm of the private sector, though, where he can comply with the letter of the law with the Securities and Exchange Commission and leave it at that. Perceptions matter.

Romney may feel impatience with requirements that the political culture imposes on a presidential candidate that he feels are pointless (and inconvenient). But he’s a politician running for the highest office in the land, and his current posture is probably unsustainable. In all likelihood, he won’t be able to maintain a position that looks secretive and is a departure from campaign conventions. The only question is whether he releases more returns now, or later — after playing more defense on the issue and sustaining more hits. There will surely be a press feeding frenzy over new returns, but better to weather it in the middle of July.

If he releases more returns, Romney will be in a better position to resist the inevitable demands for even more disclosures. More important, he will be in a better position to pivot his campaign to what should be its focus — telling a story, through a series of detailed, substantive speeches, about where he wants to take the country.

You can argue about how perceptions dont matter..or whatever...but you know, like I know...it matters

I will listen to the opinion of stinkprogress about the same time as you listen to the opinion of Rush

Most people do NOT care.. most who bark are the rabid left who are not going to vote for Romney anyway... and their barking leads to the news barking...

BUT... as stated, there is no REQUIREMENT for this and candidates have put 1 or 2 returns out public before.. and it was NO big deal... Why is it a big deal now to the rabid left?? BECAUSE IT IS A PLOY OF CLASS WARFARE AGAINST A RICH CANDIDATE, in a time where the incumbent DEM prez has a weak position in action, history, and with the current state of the country... it IS distraction and nothing more than poo flinging

...it IS distraction and nothing more than poo flinging

Kinda like blatantly lying about the Obama camp's suit against Ohio, right?

I did not read much of anything on it...

But yeah, the rabid wingers on the right do the same thing.. big example, the birthers

Does not excuse the actions nor give a free pass to volley back in the same way
