Why won't the media call Trump a Racist?

The rest of the Republican Party's more subtle language on race doesn't excuse their actions. Making it as hard as possible for black people to vote and stirring up racial resentment on the part of whites are still at the core of GOP strategy. But whether out of the goodness of their hearts or simple political calculation, they've agreed that certain kinds of naked bigotry are simply unacceptable in the 21st century.

Donald Trump is running the most explicitly racist campaign since 1968

Meanwhile, in the real world, there are real problems to be solved. One of them is to dismantle the democrat plantation that keeps minorities under a cloud of contempt.

The entire conservative agenda is just a bunch of code words for racism, don't ya know. "Tax cuts" is racist. "Control the border" is racist. "Enforce the law" is racist. "Cut spending" is racist. "Global warming is a hoax" is racist.

What are Obama's specific racist policies?
WHY are you trying to limit Obama's racism to 'policies'? If we apply that equally, Trump is not a racist purely based on his not being a politician and has no policies

So you can't cite a single racist policy that Obama has tried to impose.

Case closed.

His illegal amnesty for Mexicans is clearly racist. Then there's his plan to import only Muslim Syrian refugees and not Christian Syrian refugees. And, of course, there's his constant meddling in law enforcement every time the cops waste some black hoodlum.

The answer is simple. The media has been so bullied by Conservatives about being "unfair" to the right that they are afraid to criticize even the most offensive behavior. Trump is well aware of the castration of the media when it comes to criticizing his newfound party and is taking full advantage of it

Why the media is duty-bound to call Donald Trump a racist

But for some reason, when covering the people vying for the most powerful office in the land, the media is hesitant to apply the "R" word, no matter how apt it may be. And that hesitation could have extraordinarily serious consequences for the country.
But just denying the refugees fleeing terrorism and repression wasn't enough. The anti-terrorism furor has grown into an anti-Muslim furor. Trump has called for shutting down mosques and refused to rule out a national registry for Muslims. Marco Rubio is trying to out-Trump Trump by calling not just for shutting down mosques, but
even cafes or websites where Muslims gather.
But look at where we are today. Leading candidates for presidents are flirting with requiring adherents of a single religion to be registered. To carry identification cards. To be subject to additional surveillance. To be refused entry to the nation even if they're escaping horrific repression. To have their houses of worship closed down.
Those are racist, fascist policies. To avoid the comparison with early Nazi repression against Jews is to avoid telling the full story. And that's just what the media is doing by refusing to call these proposals racist.

Why don't they call Obama a Muslim??

The rightwing propaganda machine (aka THE MEDIA) has called Obama practically everything derogatory that it can possibly call him.

Why are you lying?

Well the leftwing propaganda machine is busy telling everyone how great Obama is.

Fair is fair after all.

deflect much missy? Claudette FYI- to you & other ODS sufferers in this thread- deflecting is not a debating tactic.

As well as having an "R" behind your name if you are a political candidate. That's been true for decades now.

The left is baffled that their attacks on Trump have failed to destroy him, that they have been unable to silence him with PC, that when he says something outrageous he goes up on the polls. Oh yes times are good. :eusa_dance:

No. What baffles intelligent people is the way RWNJs vote against their own best interests and the best interests of their families and their country.

Drumpf knows what the ignorant and willfully stupid people want to hear. No doubt about that. So far, he has said nothing of substance. All he says is we should hate others and he'll be the best ever. RWNJs eat that stuff up.

The media is controlled by the rich corporations now. They control the message. They use racism as a wedge issue to divide the masses. Without these wedge issues like god, gays and guns, the GOP would offer middle class people very little. The GOP learned all they have to do is sucker dumb American voters with these wedge issues then they'd vote against their own financial interests. That's the typical, and false, rant of the right wing who cannot logically and honestly defend their prejudices and biases against anyone who is not white.
