Why Washington Is the Best State in America

oh i did not need too?....that seems like you know that people from that area moved there ....like you did and then you moved away after you got what you came for...
I moved there with my family, knothead, and lived there for well over forty years. It's hardly like we came and sucked California dry and then moved on.
I went to school there, worked there, bought and sold multiple homes and paid my state taxes there. And when I retired early, so I could leave a state that had become hopelessly corrupt and degraded I moved on, like so many other Californians.
Just how stupid are you, anyway?

I guess not many read the article.

The weather isn't taken into consideration in this. It's the lifestyle and opportunities. It's the clean environment and much more.

You all need to read the article.

It might be wet here but we don't have tornados, hurricanes or most of the natural disasters that most of the rest of the nation have to endure. Because it's wet here we have a cleaner environment and a natural rain forest that only exists here. No other place in the world.

Well, there was that volcanoe... not every state has to deal with that.
And there is always the long awaited disaster of the Cascadia subduciton waiting to happen. Cascadia Subduction Zone | Pacific Northwest Seismic Network

And are you saying Brazil has no rain forests?

Western Washington is socialist, while the east is Republican territory. As for the weather, it used to be that it rained throughout the fall, winter (with some snow) and spring. The old saying here is that there are two seasons, rainy season and road construction season. Washington is experiencing much less rain lately and thus are having more forest fires in the summers. As for outdoor enjoyment, if you're not into hiking, this really isn't the place for you as there isn't much more to the place and on that topic, the trails used to be sparsely populated with hikers, but now it's crowded on the trails.
For hiking enjoyment now, I go to central Canada.

I live in western Oregon, a very rainy region. As bad as it is here, I do not belueve I have ever been in western Washington when it wasn't raining. A few years vack, I drove up to Mt St Helens. It was August, and you would have sworn it was March or April.
Oregon is blue, Washington is bluer.
Seattle is becoming the "homeless" capitol of the country.
Like Oregon, marijuana is legal, and it stinks all over the place !!!

In short, Oregon sucks, Washington sucks even more !!

Like Oregon, if you're west of the Cascades, you know what happens to rain clouds. They come in from the pacific, head east, run smack into the Cascades and most stay there making western Washington the rain hell just like Oregon.

I would say Washington State is average.

Plus, you have to consider the source and whatever criteria was used. The U.S. News and World Report. Yeah, about that....

All of Washington is not like the coast cities..
For once you said something smart. I'm a native of Washington and people always seem to think all of Washington is like Seattle and the coast. Not remotely true.

I think it's the best place in the country even though some of it was dragged down by Californians a long time ago
escaping the high costs, smog and congestion of SoCal.

But for purposes of the OP, yeah...Washington is a cold, wet, miserable place. Stay away all you Floridians and other crybabies. Stay far away. I hear Arizona is nice.

Washington...it's just not for billionaires.

Californians have done the same thing to Oregon.

was it something i said?....

Yes. Guess where I moved to when I abandoned California? Ta daaa....:113:

I think Oregon is even more leftist than Washington.

Portland and Seattle the huge leftist sewers, control both states. Oregon like Washington, is very reasonable east of the Cascades.

Oregon has 36 counties, and generally during a governor race, the Republican will win 25 to 30 of the counties, and the Dim will win the rest.
In our last election the Republican won 29, and Kate Brown, the leftist asshole won 7. She's the winner.
I don't see Oregon ever again having a Republican governor, or a Republican Senator.
