Why they put warning labels on everything

They don't put warning labels on products because people are stupid ... people have always been stupid, nothing there has changed.

We put labels on things because, in the past, we recognized stupid people for what they were and didn't make excuses for stupid people doing stupid things.

Today, we take stupid people seriously and stupid people have lawyers.

Those lawyers are able to successfully argue that, "My client isn't stupid, your honor, my client is a victim of lack of warning labels".

Judges and juries, no longer able to call a stupid person stupid, must agree with the lawyer and say, "Yes, your client was injured, not because he did something clearly stupid, but because there was no warning label to prevent him from doing something stupid".


If you want to get rid of warning labels you need to;

A) Stop pretending stupid people aren't actually stupid .. and
B) Stop giving stupid people access to lawyers.

And also, when you misuse a ladder like that it's your own fault. No one anywhere has ever said that is an acceptable way to move a ladder.
