Why the 'Natalie Rupnow' shootings will happen again.

Huge information download of the case. With the exception of testimony from her therapist.

Just another nut ball kid, ignored and indulged by parents, probably ignored while tolerated at school, that slipped through the huge cracks in society, crossing to the dark side. They are out there, still out there and will be out there. They are in our schools, workplaces, malls and shopping centers, our military, and our police forces.

I don't know what to do to protect schools. We have all seen teachers we would not trust with a gun, some not even a car on the highway. But not a dig particularly about teachers. The estranged are out there, and you will never know who they are until they cross the line and act. Other than the schools, I recommend you go the the range, get trained, be background check, get qualified, take the tests to be a licensed carrier and carry, to protect yourself and you family, and if possible, other innocents in malevolent harms way.

^^^ Only in a way do I second what you say about going to the range and getting trained, etc. I get why it's important to know what to do in certain situations, but isn't there a saying that goes like this, "Too much knowledge can be a dangerous thing."

If this happens again, it will be because not enough will be done about people like that girl, but at the end of the day, is doing enough even possible when we don't know who is going to be just like her until after they go and do what she is now known for?

God bless you always!!!

Why the 'Natalie Rupnow' shootings will happen again.

Shootings will continue in the US until every man, woman, and child carries an automatic assault weapon day and night in order to protect themselves. :flameth:

I don't know what to do to protect schools. .
You need the national guard to stand shoulder-to-shoulder around every school in the US, equipped with automatic assault rifles, flame-throwers, and tanks. It's the only way!

Suicidal teen with access to guns.
"Access to guns", the operative phrase.

What I was angling for was the fact that Natalie's therapist didn't caution her parents to secure all firearms from Natalie. A good therapist knows when they are being played by a patient. Based on comments in her manifesto Natalie was that type, which would have been picked up by the therapist. Any school age kid that shows signs of depression or is on psych meds is a potential school shooter and guns should be secured away from them as a precaution.

It is not what they are trained for, and that is a call for governors of the states. As a peacetime military, they are under control of the states, states governors, taking orders through state appointed Adjutant Generals. A branch reporting to and part of the US Army during Federal Activations. While the Army is really good at breaking stuff and exercising military advantage over enemy forces coordinated attack, you will remember, not so great at defense against a lone perpetrator, such as the single suicide bomber that attacked outside the Kabul Airport during the retrograde movement from Afghanistan. If not for that single suicide bombing, the pullout would have been hailed as a huge success. So, the US Army is great at taking control of vast battlefields, and executing combined arms, coordinated in length, breadth, depth and time, necessary to affect tactical/strategic military control over a wide area, killing or neutralizing groups that attempt to interfere or control, protecting against a single determined attacker, willing to sacrifice themself for their goal or statement, simply is not their gig. I know, as I was an Officer in both Army and Guard.

You asked a question - I gave you the answer. The National Guard is meant to protect the "nation" not to be sent abroad ........ but ......... you know what I am going to say. I was a Vietnam Veteran against the war and I was tear gassed by the National Guard for joining a protest so don't give me any double talk

UPDATE!
News that Natalie had a 20 y/o male accomplice who is now in custody. If true he should face the death penalty. Sadly though Wisconsin doesn't have a death penalty. :(

He's another liberal weirdo.

What I gave you is sound reasoning, statements on training, what the Army and Guard are good, and an example of their effectiveness against a lone perpetrator, while guarding the entrance to an airport. Not double talk, but straight talk.

What obsession? You mean the hatred and violence toward Christians that the left encourages?

You are being either silly or voluntarily ignorant.

You are being either silly or voluntarily ignorant.
Sounds like you know nothing of the military or their roles and missions trained for. Not only are they not trained for school security, but the states could not afford it on a 365 day deal, and the Constitution pretty well rules out use of Federal Troops in domestic law enforcement. Get a grip. What country are you from, anyway?

Pretending to be unaware of the National Guard being deployed abroad is voluntary ignorance.
or their roles and missions trained for. Not only are they not trained for school security,
And now you're being silly. That means that I was right in both instances.
What country are you from, anyway?
Why are you asking? Give me an answer that is relative to the subject and I'll tell you.
