I'm being a devil's advocate to some extent.

But the point is, there's no requirement to become a parent other than to have functioning sex organs. Even earning a driver's license requires more responsibility.

This is why, in another thread, I proposed that people be required to obtain a parenting license before being allowed to have children.

It takes two people working full time to barely hang on. If you want the traditional family back you had better
1) increase wages across the board for lower and middle class workers
2) increase mat e rnity and paternity leave...bigly
3) provide assistance $ for daycare

Thats just the start. Will it happen? Not a chance because the corporate heads will be against it. So the trend isnt going away.
