Because politicians can't get their heads around (into) it. They are led astray by other more 'dazzling' green energy technologies, mainly wind and solar. We need more imaginative people in government.

More kickbacks with wind and solar.....Just ask the Texas W&S magnates.

Bunch of turkey and chicken farmers have blatters that turn poop into methane some they burn for heat some they turn into electricity. Many farms in my area have zero electricity bills.
I like it! Do you mean 'bladders'?

Biomass is considered a Renewable source of energy
A herbivore is an animal anatomically and physiologically adapted to eating plant material.
A large percentage of herbivores have mutualistic gut flora that help them digest plant matter.

’s get their energy from eating plants. This source of energy can support the life of an elephant.

An herbivore is an organism that mostly feeds on plants.

The digestive system in herbivores can convert plant material into a form of sugar. This is done my bacteria and yeasts in the stomach of these animals.

There are a few unique types of fungus that can break down organic matter into useful energy.

If we can find a way to convert plant matter into sugars then we can then use this to produce energy then we will have found a new source of energy.

Just a suggestion

The problem isn’t imagination. The problem is that most politicians don’t even have a basic understanding how the electric utility industry works, never mind how the grid itself operates.

That means they don’t have the most basic understanding required to make any sort of proper decisions related to the energy industry.,

True, and the information they get is from the lobbyists.

The problem is that they’re not getting the information from the ISOs and the individual electric utility companies.
The energy companies only want conservation and efficiency if they are faced with building new power plants.

That’s not true. Especially since not all eleocompanies generate electricity. Many companies are in the transit and/or distribution business only. In fact, by federal law NO electric utility company in the United Ststes can provide Generation, Transmission AND Distribution services. They can provide and combination of two of the three services, but not all three.
