why shedur sanders wasn't drafted;;; get the straight poop from tyrone

Maybe the team has insurance against injury where the insurance company pays their salary but the premiums on that would have to be ridiculous and hardly worth paying I would think.

Yep, costs would be high. Calling all actuaries. Is availability insurance $5 million on a QB or SP per season?

That famous Sanders' ego has to be totally deflated! It was one thing to have Elway & Manning telling the league where they weren't going to play 'back in the day!' Sanders was going to be the last one to "call the shots" w/ these owners! I love it that Shedur's "face cracked" as he dropped down in the draft further than he thought possible! Mel Kiper needs to get over himself being outraged over the whole situation! :stir::p
It was a 3 headed monster for this kid:
1. His Dad went on multiple shows in January and said there were certain teams they wouldn’t play for, and they would dictate things. And, the bad teams that heard that assumed it was them, and listened.
2. Sanders reportedly didn’t represent himself well in interviews at all. You’d think Deion would coach his kid up to be what teams want, not to be something they don’t
3. The sports media has a hand in it. Deion worked for all the big names, and I think his friends and colleagues didn’t want to harm Deion’s kid because they like Deion, so they all sat back and didn’t say anything and let the lie remain (kind of like how the MSM sat back and refused to say anything when Joe Biden was clearly demented)

All-in-all.. Deion largely directly or indirectly caused his kid to fall. That being said, Sanders has all the motivation in the world to come out and prove everyone wrong.

As a Browns fan, I’m fine with getting him at 144 in the 5th round.

More Penn St. Defense was top 5. But that does not trend well going into NFL defenses.

I don't draft any 5'8" 200 lb RB #5? Unless team is set everywhere else? Not sure about this one by genius Brady?
Ladanian Tomlinson, Barry Sanders, Maurice Jones Drew, Darren Sproles….

Okay, but this is the internet.. do we know Deion actually said that?

Paraphrased.....

“It’s not about what I’m seeing from them, it’s about a whole lot of other things: team, position, round projection. All of that, plays a role,” Sanders said. “Now, with NIL, and who they are, shoot, you could make just as much money here as you can there [the NFL], unless you’re one of the first five picks.

“But Shedeur don’t want to be two to nobody. He don’t get down like that. People are projecting him behind Caleb Williams. And Caleb Williams is phenomenal. But Shedeur ain’t no backseat rider. He drives his Maybach. He doesn’t have a driver in it — he drives it.”

It was an odd selection even at that point. Cleveland has 5 QB's on it's roster currently.

Watson who they cant get rid of
Flacco who's likely the day 1 starter
Pickett who they just traded for this year
Gabriel who they drafted in the 3rd rd
Sanders who clearly isnt the HC's choice.

How many reps is Sanders really going to get?

M
Bet they use them as trades.

Cant trade Watson (contract), or Flacco (age). No one is going to trade anything for them.

What are they getting for Pickett?

No one is trading for a rookie. (Gabriel or Sanders). Neither one is going to get many reps in practice.

Pickett? Superbowl caliber QB?

I don't know, someone may need a 3rd string bench warmer some where.

Take a chance with KP, let Flacco go?

I'd say they have a problem one way or another.

They have a bunch of mediocre QB's in their room.

Only answer. CLEVE is so loaded at every position they can afford to use draft picks to play around?

Gabriel or Sanders might work out but there does not seem to be a lot of field time behind Pickett to find out? You can't ruin another yr on CLEVE can you?
Flaco can't win this job at old age? Watson is out all yr with achilles I am pretty sure.

I still say without (NE Brady years) KC or now PHI caliber O-line play, you can't win it all with statue QBs' (Kirk Cousins type). At least CLEVE has 3 that can run around. Gabriel Sanders Pickett.

Pickett with a collapsing line rolls left almost predictably, was his signature in Pittsburgh. I saw he seemed a little better in PHL but I'd bet their O line was better.

To FINE the Hawks and the Coach is beyond ridiculous. Because some punk kid got his feelings hurt? HUH? Should have figured it out and hung up. Let's shut down the NFL and the draft because one prima donna got burned? what about the others?

Several other NCAA football players besides Shedeur Sanders also received prank calls during the 2025 NFL Draft. These included players like Tyler Warren, Kyle McCord, Mason Graham, and Chase Lundt. The NFL is investigating these calls, which appear to be unrelated to the incident involving Shedeur Sanders.

**This guy also has a track record of being a punk, not shaking hands, big mouth taunting, bad interaction with Cam Ward.

After a game, Shedeur Sanders reportedly acted aggressively towards Cam Ward, pushing him and ultimately tackling him to the ground. The incident followed Ward's comment about Sanders "coughing the ball up". Marca.com reported that Ward was proud that he kept possession of the ball during the scuffle.
