why shedur sanders wasn't drafted;;; get the straight poop from tyrone

I heard he sits out all yr with Ahcilles. They save cost using insurance?
Then they have to do something in 2026. But this I heard on Sirus radio. No links no facts.
I don't watch the news anywhere anytime. No fake news media for me.
I don't know. I doubt you can circumvent the salary cap by just putting the player on the IR and covering their salary via insurance. If they could Watson would have been on the IR a long time ago. And teams would do it to lots of players.

That famous Sanders' ego has to be totally deflated! It was one thing to have Elway & Manning telling the league where they weren't going to play 'back in the day!' Sanders was going to be the last one to "call the shots" w/ these owners! I love it that Shedur's "face cracked" as he dropped down in the draft further than he thought possible! Mel Kiper needs to get over himself being outraged over the whole situation! :stir::p

Who cares, except people like you? Lack of professionalism, LOL! When he was at Jackson State, he paid out of his own pockets for a new weight room and locker room. Name another coach who did that.
At time sa tide forms on players. At the beginning of the National basketball League season, on the TV talk programs, Lebron James son was talked up and there was even the talk of racism then. For months he was one of the top agendas from the draft to the season starting. Then reality hit. So, this kid is either going to be good or is overrated. And there are many Quarterbacks drafted who are not what they were pushed as. Some teams develop quarterbacks better than others. Cleveland's history is not good at this.

The Louisville QB did not seem good enough to go before Howard of OSU? All Howard did was help win it all (vs. top ten teams).

If Sanders comes in and starts demanding a certain OC or even Deion as coach (or I won’t play)? Who wants that? Social issue troublemaking? Who knows?
Howard wasn’t the prime factor of those teams. When you have elite D, elite WR’s, an elite O line, and elite RB’s… you don’t have to grind to win as much as others. Matt Leinart from USC comes to mind. Drafted in the high first round but really just benefitted from a system and having Reggie bush.

All in all, this was shocking

The pundits had Sanders drafted anywhere from #9 to #21 in the first round. He fell to the 6th round and #144

It’s like the 2016 presidential election LOL. The media said Hilary was 99% going to win

Not sure what they are doing with two draft picks used for the same spot after getting Pickett (at leat he has some NFL experience)? Trades coming? Browns messed up again?

I dont know about salary cap, but they say insurance is bought in cases of injury. Maybe the owner does not have to pay all of it when they are out? But still on books as team salary.

Isn’t that for future earnings? Basically had I not been injured and my career cut short I’d have made X dollars etc? I don’t think it covers the current contract. The owners pay the players from the revenue sharing. The cap is 50% of NFL revenue.

I'm no expert lol! But i am always lectured on MLB when $30mil pitcher blows arm out....that insurance pays him till he returns. Who lectures me? It was board Stain from years back. They say owners are not as stupid as they appear to be.

I don't watch much college football and so I'm not much into making judgements on the NFL draft. I can't imagine one game alone sets the bar for a player's future expectation, regardless of his performance either way. But apparently Sanders' play has been mostly typical of what tyroneweaver saw in that BYU game. At least in NFL scouts' eyes.
I remember Ashton Jeanty folding when Boise played Penn State. He played like shit, yet the Raiders picked him at #5.

Yes future pay going forward as he sits out. Back pay is already done during previous time played.

More Penn St. Defense was top 5. But that does not trend well going into NFL defenses.

I don't draft any 5'8" 200 lb RB #5? Unless team is set everywhere else? Not sure about this one by genius Brady?

He's a good RB....but after watching him in that playoff game I pretty much wrote him off.
I would have taken Hampton or Scattaboo before taking Jeanty.

I used to be....but not anymore.
The only problem with Scattaboo's game is he's going to get hurt a lot if he doesn't learn to protect himself.
If he was bigger he'd be scary.

He's too slow. That's the bottom line. He's 5-11 215 and will probably add 10-15 pounds once he gets to the NFL, which is plenty big enough but he wont get fast enough. The AVERAGE NFL running back has a sub 4.5 40. Skattebo is at almost 4.7.

No I'm saying future contract earnings. Not money he would earn on his current contract. So when Watson's contract expires in 28 if he has insurance on his body he could make a claim against that insurance. Maybe the team has insurance against injury where the insurance company pays their salary but the premiums on that would have to be ridiculous and hardly worth paying I would think.
