He expected (and still expects) the coming YEARS to filled with the drip-drip-drip of new "revelations" from the files, implicating him in illegal or nefarious behavior, each one of which will be shown or explained to be bullshit...but it will not end until he either gets killed in the mid-terms (after which he will be impeached again), or is out of office.
