Sexual misconduct is not the same as rape. They were both teenagers AKA minors AKA not adults. and she doesn't remember anything....there is no case.

Hill & Thomas were both adults, and the accusations were more current at that time. There is a lot of difference between the two cases.


Now if Kavenaugh had other accusers since then showing a pattern, then you might have a case for the FBI to look into this case.

The way law works in the US is no retro active laws are allowed. One can not be charged with a crime by a law that was created AFTER the supposed crime occurred, since there was a Statute of limitations when this supposed crime occurred and since the statute of limitations was achieved he can not now be charged by a new law. But more importantly she never claimed he tried to rape her.

The FBI was called on during the Clarence Thomas hearings to investigate the accusations made by Anita Hill.

That is how this is done. In fact Orin Hatch REQUESTED that investigation in that case, He KNOWS that is the "regular order".

What are they afraid of?

Not regular order when you've already had 6 THOROUGH FBI checks and several clearance updates by the FBI. Also not anything the FBI can address because there are no potential criminal charges due to statute of limitations.
