I have many female friends. There are a few with which I have a bit of sexual tension. As long as we don't act on it, there is no problem.

As for being unable to compliment women, that is nonsense. YOu can give women compliments. I do it all the time, even to strangers. I make sure it is not sexual, but I can compliment them.

Well, men and women never really could be friends unless neither was attracted to the other. Otherwise, there's always some simmering desire that goes unsatisfied, but nonetheless serves as a motivator for one or both parties.

I've been "friends" with a lot of women, but those friendships were shallow and insignificant compared to the ones I had with my male friends. I always thought it was because women take themselves a lot more seriously, and won't abide the sort of daily hazing that boys put each other through. Makes it more difficult to bond with someone when you must walk on eggshells around them.

But shit, maybe it works for some people. Just never worked for me.

I am usually closer friends with women. But once in a while, I have a cool guy friend. The reason I like Gal pals is that they seem to understand and relate to issues I've gone through and men don't. I still like men though. Also, don't mind flirting or tension except when it's women with my boyfriend.
