What we are seeing in Islam today as we have seen in christianity in the past


The uncomfortable conclusion to be drawn from the theology of both Christianity and Islam, and from the way they have acted throughout history, is that both peace and violence can be true and authentic expressions of these religions. And in the modern world, violence is as much of a problem within religions as between them.

I saw this as NOT excusing either one but equally blaming religions.

The difference is that
* Muslims are called to include Christianity but Christianity is not taught to include Muslims but reject them if they reject Christ Jesus (for Muslims who include Christianity, they get along fine)
* Christianity can check both Christianity and Islam because the same Bible Scriptures are authority in both groups
* Thus peace in either following requires on the peaceful teachings of Christianity in the NT
