Which conveniently doesn't allow for any funding for Democratic programs.

What part about Social Security and Medicare being Democratic Party programs do you not understand? Look at who put then in place, because it was not the republicans.

Let me see if I can explain this to you. I'll use little words.

Reagan, Bush and Bush borrowed a lot of money, because they cut taxes, but did not lower spending to match.

Now 25% of the Federal Budget is interest on that borrowed money.

Thus 25% of the Federal Budget is still being spent by Republicans, even though they're not in office anymore.

Get it?

Out of the projections for the future debt that you all have put forth, a great part of the deficit is due to ever-growing and compounding interest on pre-existing debt.

So, Obama isn't spending the money through some new "programs" he's enacting, the debt will exist even if he does nothing at all.

And of course all the last 3 Republican adminsitrations saw this coming, but they chose to leave the cleaning up to the Democrats. That way, when the Democrat's turn came around, they wouldn't have any money to spend.

Both Social Security and Medicare would be fine and solvent for quite a long time in the future, if the previous 3 Republican administrations hadn't gutted the Social Security funds to pay for their lower taxes, and military spending.

There you go, is that clear enough for you?

And as for the "he started it" comment... It's not "he started it", it's "He's still doing it".

It's unsustainable, but that's OK with BHO and the BHO groupies, because BHO won't be president when the USA must crash and burn.

The Heritage foundation should be ashamed of itself for false representation.

Ok people ... Seems to me these wars are sucking us dry... Either we have to bring in what is needed to win it or we have to get out... Not sure I like either option but with the cost of this war is going to break this country.... Seems to me we are in a
sh!t pot no matter what they do... Can't get out and they don't want to commit to win it... To me at this point it seems we should find a way to get out... I just can't see this economy turning around until the war ends... Seems to me the only one profiting from this war are the people building the bombs
