We also have to look at what I call "The SportsDork Culture" in this Country. It's big money and it's a problem.
How many Helicopter Moms and Dads live their wasted lives vicariously through their children? A lot. Really a lot.
Too many times, the Parents of these kids are more to blame than the sick culture that allows it. It's their Hobby Kid.
Unless you have a relative or close friend that is deeply involved in the SportsDork Culture, you wouldn't understand.
I can see where a doting Couple with an underperforming biological Male child wouldn't mind ruining that kid's life so they could have something to do on weekends.

So I have a coworker, and a friend, we recently teamed up together, again, we were also a team 40 years ago. Different wives than then, he never had children, I have them everywhere. But he has a stepdaughter, she is in competition cheerleading. He tells me, when a team comes up to perform they encourage the parents to come up to the floor, by the bench. He tells me there are grown men out there, Dad's, performing every single move their daughter is performing during a cheer. Twirling the hands, hell I don't know, maybe they got their own pom-poms. Doing the kicks.
I am like "Ugh?". Kind of in a state of shock. "No way", I go. But he assured me it is true. I mean I really have to stop and think about it a moment. And then it comes to me, this slightly overweight dude, with his work shoes on, tie loosened up, uncoordinated as hell, doing a cheer, albeit you get the rear view. He is cheering toward his daughter, and her back at him. And the kick, I mean at this point I am just falling out laughing hysterically.
My buddy starts laughing too. And I am like, how do you not fall out right there. He tells me, "I got used to it". Who puts that much pressure on their daughter, puts that much weight into something that is supposed to be fun. This cheerleading Dad is doing no one any favors, especially not his daughters.

One is too fking many because it is abuse of women. And I see that's where you are. wow. Admit out loud. You hate and despise women that much. You shit on their rights. Someone should shit on yours.
Actually hoss, I think you are the one that must hate women. As above, I think these parents that are making this an issue are the ones that have a problem. I raised three girls, to the one, they would be like, bring their ass on. I mean seriously, what ever happened to a woman can do anything a man can do? That is how I raised my girls, but these people, they believe they have to "protect" their daughters, from competition from males? Hell, buy her a T-shirt, men are superior to women, make her wear the damn thing. How is it giving any other message.
And mentioning those girls. I had to visit the principal's office more times than I'd like to admit. They had kicked another poor boy's ass. But observing my son's classmates, it really became clear. Just one example, a tiny girl, which is unusual, they are usually tall and strong. Cross country, smoked the boys. Track and Field, didn't matter, dash or long distance, smoked the girls. No, not the boys.
But, she was a world class rabbit hunter. With beagles, also world class. Who does that? I mean hell, the damn rabbits are now running over top of my clowder. I need some younger cats, or to start eating rabbits. She is at the Pentagon now.
