I think they should let as much fentanyl in as the American public wants. Make it available stop fighting it. Set up little pancake houses for it and give it away Make sure the people have as much as they can possibly handle. Going away empty-handed? No no no no here take this for tomorrow ..... You never know what might happen to keep you from coming back tomorrow. Stuff them full of the shit.... In a year's time the problem will be over.

The OP asks an old question: “what about the demand?”

It’s a fair enough question, standing alone.

But if we can eliminate the supply and the suppliers, we won’t have to worry so much about the drug abuse problem.

It was just a few days ago that I suggested we need to address the demand as well as the supply issues.

Just to be clear, though, taking advantage of the addiction problem is not justified by telling us that we have an addiction problem. We do.

But, we can and should still insist that other nations STOP allowing the supplying of those poisons to our addicts.

Detain the users and we cut off the money supply. Then the cartels will have a backlog of drugs instead of a backlog of unlaundered money.
