That, and the fact that what passes for education these days is nothing more than Diploma Mills handing out worthless pieces of paper.

Friend of mine has two kids within one year of each other in age. The girl (25) has a Masters in Social Studies and is between jobs The boy (24) has no degree and makes over 80k a year as a welder.

The girl has a mountain of College Loan debt, the boy just put a down-payment on a $450k House with 2 acres of land and a really nice out-building. The girl gave up on men recently. Very pretty girl, too. Athletic figure, charming smile, vivacious. I told her recently, "You're just shopping at the wrong store." She got mad and stomped off.

Point being, A Social Studies degree isn't worth the paper it's written on. Max pay for one of those, in the field, is around $50k. On a good day. And there's absolutely no longevity. Most College Degrees aren't worth squat. Not all, of course. But most of them are worthless.

She regrets not getting her degree as an X-Ray Tech. Bigly. Nursing was too 'icky' for her.

First, it is college-level stupidity to not distinguish between worked-for wealth and inherited wealth.

Second, education and income are merely signs of inherited wealth (or the bootlicking of wannabe Preppies), so they are the same thing. The word aristocracy was coined by Aristotle, the son of the Macedonian king's private physician. He defined it as "the best rule is rule by the educated." People quickly caught on that he was really defining his own birth-privileged class, who at the time were the only people who could afford to get an education. You are claiming that a redundancy is a distinction.

That really hasn't changed. The eweniversities are designed solely for rich kids living off adult allowances, with their tuition paid for by their parents.

The other students, equally mentally mediocre, are teenagers who are afraid to grow up. Their reward is not worth the human self-sacrifice they were forced to make by the same millionaire businessmen who never asked that from their own sons.

That was a lot of charges made but ultimately the GOP is the party whose policies favor the wealthy. If the aristocracy of inherited wealth were represented by the Dems wouldn’t the policies reflect that?

I’d argue the GOP working class is uninformed around policy. Democratic policy has high approval ratings when presented blindly to republicans.
