Why is Education Level the Best Predictor of Voting?

"Education does not make bad people good, it just makes bad people educated."

No matter how educated, talented. rich, or cool you believe you are it's how you treat others that tells the tale......Integrity and responsibility is everything......Without either, the "educated" are nothing.
One can see immediately why the LOTUS loves the poorly educated.

The elevator you get on, should it be designed by degreed engineers? How about the car you are in? DO you expect that your medical doctor has the appropriate degrees?
Funny u should mention that. I once took an engineers full time job he operated for a year and half. In 2 weeks I automated it......10 minutes a week to review and back up. Formal education lost me at the 5th grade.

Sure, formal ed has a place. I'd take competent and experience over a piece of paper all day.

The fault line in politics today is education. If you are more educated you vote democrat, if you are less educated you vote republican. Ironically however, both parties are led by politicians educated at the ivy league schools.

Question: Why is education the single best indicator of voting patterns now?

“The biggest single, best predictor of how someone’s going to vote in American politics now is education level. That is now the new fault line in American politics,” Sosnik told David Chalian on the “CNN Political Briefing” podcast.

Trump’s rise over the past three election cycles, Sosnik argued, “accelerated and completed this political realignment based on education that had been forming since the early ’70s, at the beginning of the decline in the middle class.”

As the US transitions to a 21st century economy, there’s a rift between the people who attain education – “that’s become the basic Democratic Party,” he said, comparing them with people who feel left behind, “that group of voters is now the modern Republican Party base.”

There’s a direct correlation to politics. In 2020, according to CNN’s exit polls, voters with a college degree accounted for 41% of the electorate and they supported President Joe Biden 55% to Trump’s 43%. Trump got the support of about two-thirds of White voters without a college degree, but he lost White college-educated voters.

Funny…they have all this education, but apparently are still prone to making bad voting choices….

maybe its because the dem party is no longer the party of the blue collar worker .. it has morphed into there party of elitist snobs with no common sense .

But Education is a better indication of voting patterns than wealth. I asked above, if education was about programming why are all the GOP leaders highly educated and many from Ivy Leagues? Even Marjorie Taylor Greene graduated from the University of Georgia - a very fine school.
common combined with an education is the answer to your question .. there are plenty of sp called educated democrats but most lack common sense ..

Pedagogical Pedophilia

A college student lives like a child. As a result, he graduates with the mind of a child. Professors even admit it when they refer to their students as "kids."

The Postmodern "Democratic" Party is a Children's Crusade.

Class-Biased Classrooms

First, it is college-level stupidity to not distinguish between worked-for wealth and inherited wealth.

Second, education and income are merely signs of inherited wealth (or the bootlicking of wannabe Preppies), so they are the same thing. The word aristocracy was coined by Aristotle, the son of the Macedonian king's private physician. He defined it as "the best rule is rule by the educated." People quickly caught on that he was really defining his own birth-privileged class, who at the time were the only people who could afford to get an education. You are claiming that a redundancy is a distinction.

That really hasn't changed. The eweniversities are designed solely for rich kids living off adult allowances, with their tuition paid for by their parents.

The other students, equally mentally mediocre, are teenagers who are afraid to grow up. Their reward is not worth the human self-sacrifice they were forced to make by the same millionaire businessmen who never asked that from their own sons.

Harris wasn’t educated at an Ivy League school

Me and my ilk think all magaturds are completely full of shit. Your futile comment hasn't changed this outlook. Best of luck.
