What that investment is buying you is assurances that India is NOT going to align with China and Russia, pitting the economies two of the largest populations on earth against the US economy. They're going to stop buying Russian oil which is financing Putin's war with the Ukrain. India has joined a strategic defense alliance with Japan, Australia and the USA, to counter Xi's expansionism in Asia. That will enable the USA to reduce its military spending in the region, and prevent any further moves on Tai Wan.

You complain that India isn't doing enough to stop polluting and then mock them building electric buses. You offer no solutions, just criticisms of all proposals.

Those of you whining about everything and offering to do nothing to make it better should really sit down STFU, and let those who really are trying to do something about the problem, get on with it, instead of obstructing them at every turn. After Trump stopped sending foreign aid to "shit hole countries", do you know who used their massive trade surplus with the USA to build deep sea ports on the West Coast of Mexico, Central and South America, buy soy beans and rice from Brazil, and build influence and alliances in Africa and new sea ports and trading routes there? He took a page out of the USA's 1960's CIA playbook where the USA stopped the spread of communism using foreign aid to install and support right wing dictatorships, and build alliances throughout Central and South America and in Africa as well.

Medicaid isn't welfare, stupid. Private Health Insurance is a scam. The insurance companies control your treatment, not your doctors. Pre-approvals co-pays, paperwork.

I had a cardiac episode on Sunday. Went to emergency. Had an extra, blood work, EKG. Not quite a heart attack but it did show up on the EKG. Saw my PCP on Friday. More blood work - total cardiac care work up. MRI booked. Also booked a minor surgery for a small benign cyst which has become annoying. Surgeon called to book first appointment while I was waiting for the bloodwork.

Total out of pocket and co-pays - $0. Paperwork Completed - I gave them my OHIP card so renewal they can record the new number. I did buy a cold drink while I was there. $2.

Everyone who lives here gets the same thing.

I can understand welfare for the few people incapable of earning a living. Someone with serious mental or physical disabilities. Able bodied people should be forced to work to earn any benefits, even if it's make-work like sweeping sidewalks or picking up trash eight hours a day.
