I have been following national elections since 1968 with my Grandfather, and there are a series of issues that define any election, and generally the winner is the person/party that can cobble together more people from these various hot button issues and make a majority.
For example on the issue of gun control, most people favor common sense gun control and are against the extremes of zero regulation or gun confiscation. The majority who care about this issue will support the person who is not in favor of either extreme and supports the moderate middle position which is to be in favor of gun rights and not infringing on them, but at the same time trying to keep guns out of the hands of wackos.
Now on the gun issue Trump is the clear moderate as he supports common sense gun reforms but is against gun confiscation or the further infringement of gun rights. Biden has openly stated he is going to confiscate guns and put Beto O'Rourke in charge of gun policy, an extreme leftist position on the issue.
The same can be said on abortion, taxation, immigration and government intrusion into our lives.
Trump supports law, order and peaceful safe cities without roving gangs of vandals and looters, whil Sleepy Joe has said nothing yet, but his municipal Democratic machines h ave come out protecting Antifa from regular citizens trying to defend their neighborhoods.
About a third of the public has not even looked at the positions or candidates very closely yet, and wait till the election is closer, a couple of weeks before generally, and when they do they will mostly swing behind Trump for being the least extreme of the two candidates.
And by End of October the economy is going to be back, the stock markets rolling along, unemployment below 5% and the ANTIFA ass holes will be either in jail or hiding.
After the Presidential debates show what a brain damaged fool Biden is, the election will be wrapped up.
The only chance the Democrats have is to jetison Biden and make Mark Cuban their nominee.
