Why "drill baby, drill" has a direct affect on all our lives!

BIDEN did not one single DRILLING dumb shit! The ONLY area that Biden was involved is in FEDERAL LAND LEASES!
And that dumb ass order the STOPPING of drilling on Federal land that provided 25% of oil production!
FACT and since you can't seem to spell..."ALREADY"!!!

So tell me moonie, What of the below products do you NOT USE?

Interesting, US oil production hit a new all-time Record under Biden , reaching 12.9 million barrels a day in 2023. ( 4,708, 500,000 barrels a year )..I made a mistake earlier at that rate of when we runout of oil. At current rate , but it will no doubt increas , we will run out in 60 to 70 years.

The right opposes renewables. That is the only thing that could make US energy independent. There isn't enough fossil fuels left to make US function stall for much longer.

Everything in your post is wrong.

The perplexing observation of a few of you is that you've ignored the primary thesis of my comment!
You believe in as Biden said.."rid fossil fuels"... then how will you brush your teeth? What will your credit cards be made from? You put antifreeze in your car... what will replace it? Laundry detergent? Tires? How many of you are aware that every year..."It takes about seven gallons of oil to make a standard passenger or light-truck tire"
In 2024 there were according to Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) projects that the number of tires produced will increase to 335.7 million tires... 42,725,454 barrels of oil every year!
Economic Impact
NOW do you uninformed people understand why "drill baby drill" is important? What will the tires be made from?
Asphalt you drive on made from oil.The United States produces around 400 to 500 million tons of asphalt annually.
around 210 gallons of oil per ton of asphalt; or 1,718,181,818 barrels of oil!

Everything in your post is wrong.

Really? The talk radio right has always sung off the Big Oil sheet music and opposed renewables.

The antiquated notions and idiotic ridicule are no different now than they were 30 years ago.

This "drill baby drill" nonsense is so ridiculous.

Oil prices are not going to drop significantly until demand does.

As the electrification of infrastructure and motor vehicles moves ahead in China and the EU, worldwide demand will start to drop.

25 years ago, the great fear was "peak oil". Meaning that existing oil fields were nearing their peak production and that rapid declines would follow.

This was one of the reason why the United States started a war in Iraq (which then had the 2nd largest proven reserves).

Fast forward to today. "Peak oil" no longer refers to the supply of oil, but rather, to the demand for it.

A peak which is expected around 2030.

Trump's reversal and retreat are a last ditch effort to push that date farther out.
NOT one shred of proof from you! Why do you people THINK I'll believe YOUR comments???
Prove your statement a PEAK is expected around 2030??
FACTS buddy! 56 years! not 5!!!
Ranking nations by the most likely estimate for existing fields, discoveries and as-of-yet undiscovered fields (proved, probable. possible and undiscovered),
the United States is at the top of the list with 264 billion barrels of recoverable oil reserves,
followed by Russia with 256 billion,
Saudi Arabia with 212 billion,
Canada with 167 billion,
Iran with 143 billion, and
Brazil with 120 billion (Table 1)

Annual usage by USA:
In 2023, the U.S. produced 12.9 million barrels of oil per day (bpd), a new all-time record ( 4,708,500,000 per year)
264 billion barrels divided by 4.7 billion barrels per year equals 56 years!
Simple facts from Google!

Good question , the US currently uses 20.25 million barrels of oil a day. Our estimated oil reserves are 48.3 billion barrels. Figure out how long that's going to last. Most of the oil to be gotten out of fracking has already been used up this all the closings of fracking wells. And most of the rest of the oil lies in sensitive areas. How much of an ecological disaster are willing to create in the nr of almighty oil. This is why renewables are so important. The sooner we develop them , they longer the remaining fossil fuels will last.
Where are your sources?

Nope. Renewable research will continue and nobody opposes it.

I am not interested in a discussion regarding proven oil reserves.

Oil, like all fossil fuels, is a finite commodity with high waste and global climate impact. (tdon’t bother denying it. Big Oil new it in the 1980’s. Even though they sponsored campaigns to lie to uyou about it.)

Electric cars are the future, no matter what the fool in the White House bellows. Why waste 70% of the energy you bought on waste heat and tailpipe emissions.

..

HERE are The FACTS!
Not your guesses!!!:

According to estimates, if all cars were electric vehicles, the US would need to produce an additional 20-50% more electricity annually, meaning a significant increase in power generation is required to fully support EV adoption across the country; a typical EV consumes around 3,857 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity per year, which is roughly equivalent to the average American's annual driving distance.

And if Biden's "guarantee to rid fossil fuels"

it would mean that 60% of all electricity generated in the USA by fossil fuels today... or of the 4.1 Trillion kWh generated,
more than half of the electricity generated would have to be replaced.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, in 2023, the United States generated approximately 4,178 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity at utility-scale facilities, or 4.18 trillion kWh.

Between EV consumption of an additional 2.09 Trillion kWh and
Biden's guarantee of getting rid over 2.4 Trillion kWh by fossil fuels...

that's the equivalent of what is generated today or another 4.5 Trillion kWh will be needed to replace fossil fuels and
EVs consumption!

Where will the money come from to build the average nuclear power plant generates around 8 billion kWh?

The average 8 billion kWh nuclear power plant or 583 nuclear power plants at a cost of ...
According to current estimates, building a new nuclear power plant can cost between $5 billion and $10 billion per unit.

So using the average of $7.5 billion X 583 new nuclear power plants to meet demand or a total of
$4,218,750,000,000 where will that come from?

Guess? What guess? I documented my claim.

Your rebuttal doesn’t change anything.

I fully expect half of the electric generating capaiccity to be replaced. And, I expect the current trend, in which 100% of the investment in new capacity is invested in renewables, will continue.

Your rebuttal doesn’t change anything.

Indeed, your alarmist goings on about how much power will be needed does not change with different power sources. Indeed, you did not even mention data farms.

I have little doubt that the current trend in electric power generation will continue, For the last two years 100% of the investment capital in electric power generation has been in renewables and battery farms.

They are the cheaper and more reliable and responsive alternative.

Moreover, I also predict that in the future people will look back on us as energy starved, limited by the ineffencies of steam and internal combustion. Knowing that, and the high cost in climate impact and pollution, they’ll wonder why people argued against it.
