Why Don't Democrats Demand Spanish Speaking Illegals Drop Spanish / Speak English?

A co-worker of mine asked me today. In answer to my puzzled look he made an interesting point...

The new Socialist Democratic Party has become the self-proclaimed advocates for a GENDER-NUTRAL America. This 100% conflicts with bringing in over nearly 1 Million Spanish-speaking illegals per year. Anyone who knows the Spanish language knows much of it is based on gender - male vs female -- AmigO vs AmigA.

Funny, but yes.

Realistically, all official federal government business should be conducted in English only, especially elections. States should be free to accommodate as they will so long as federal funding is not used.

After all, a requirement for citizenship is a working knowledge of English.

Personally, I don't have a problem with anyone speaking their native language. They should communicate with their families/friends and/or with anyone else.

However, I do have a problem when they start speaking in their native language when they know very well, they should be speaking English. Especially at work.
Especially, when they are communicating with other English-speaking people. Unless you are bilingual, you have no clue what they are saying. They could be talking about you behind your back. Even when they are standing right in front of you. Or they are just speaking their native language to irritate you.

In the Dems first debate, they had three candidates speak Spanish to appeal to Latino viewers, only Castro was actually fluent with his Spanish. The other two made fools out of themselves.
In the second debate, the only Spanish that I noted, was again Julian Castro saying "And on January 20, 2021, we’ll say "Adiós" to Donald Trump."
Now if there was more Spanish incorporated in the debate, I might have missed, because I was switching back a forth as I was watching a baseball game simultaneously with the debate.
Anyway, this is a petty thread.
On another note, I think Trump should talk like an adult, instead of talking like a preadolescent kid.

Exactly how would you punish people for exercising the right of free speech in a different language? Is it just people speaking Spanish here that offends you? Would you punish French speakers or German speakers.....

At one point there were like 800/900 German language newspaper in the US. First generation always bring their language with them. My great uncle's wife was second generation Irish. My mom used to despise the way she talked. She used a lot of Irish slang which my mother took to be baby talk like calling breakfast brekkie LOL.

Call / brand people names like 'Racist', 'Homophobe', anti-Semite...

Call for legislation making what they are saying (like insulting / making fun of Democrats) illegal...

Call for peaceful assembly of those who oppose your agenda to be made illegal....

I'm assuming you were commenting on me.
In any case, I used to be a manager for a company and we had Spanish-speaking employees working for us.
Like I said, I don't care if they speak Spanish outside the workplace. But when they are at work and we have many English-speaking employees and customers, they are required to speak English. It is part of their hire when they got the job.
