It was pushed that way. As the almighty state replaced faith in God. It gained traction over a half century ago. Around the same time we lost control of the fiat currency. Christmas and Easter were always somewhat crass. However, faith and going to church was heavy at one time. Now that has reduced a good percentage, and the crassness of those two holidays have risen massively. Near whole neighborhoods would support each other in those days. Now a neighbor may not even have the same views and different ways. Politicians did this. They screwed us up. As long as the money is here, we will see detente among different groups. Remove the money and it is open season now.

This was like 6-8 years ago.Christmas was openly being
frowned upon.And yes,Huge retailer Wal* Mart started the
ball rolling.Keep in mind that Hillary Clinton was once on the
Board of Wal-Mart in the late 80's early 90's.She was the lone
female on that board in 1990.She acted as Director of the Board
for 6 years.
