After all these two came out of the G.W. Bush administration in year 2006. At a time when Democrats owned the Senate and could have easily rejected them, like they did with many other nominees of G.W. Bush for Federal Court appointments.

Niel Gorsuch stated during confirmations hearings that Roe V Wade is precedent in the Constitution meaning set in stone, and the only reason Kavanaugh attracted Trump's attention is Kavanaugh is on record stating Presidents shouldn't be prosecuted while they're in office. But Presidents are not above the law, and we do have impeachment proceedings that serve that purpose.
