Article I, Section 8 of The Constitution clearly states "The Congress shall have Power to declare War!" It does not say that the president has this Power! So how does this Republican controlled Congress allow the president to do what it is supposed to be doing?

So now we find ourselves engaged in an illegal war, started by a president who did not have the authority to start it, who thinks he can do anything he wants to! Therefore the Republican led Congress, by not reining in the president, and giving him succor, is complicit and approving of his illegal war.

Bear in mind also that this president is not fazed by illegality. He carries on his back the weight of thirty four convictions by the State of New York, and wears those convictions like a badge of honor. The cost of this war will weigh heavily on the American people, with increased gasoline prices affecting all facets of daily life where transportation on land, sea or air is involved, not to mention the loss of reputation of the United States to the international community. That cost is not only the responsibility of the president but his Congress also!

But perhaps the worst effect of all is this Congress telling this president that there are no restraints, go do whatever you want, invade any country you want to, and you will be supported by this limp noodle Congress!

Bigly!!!

Presidents have done all kinds of military operations over the years without Congressional approval. Why should it be different with Trump?

Apparently, most of the members of Congress don't even know what the Constitution is. Our Founding Fathers are likely rolling in their graves at hyper speed.

Congress won’t even consider bringing up thst portion of thevUS Constitution because THEY have been the most active violators of the seventeen specific items listed in that Article and Section when they routinely create laws and spend monies on items not specified in that section.

Trump started a war to distract from his pedophilia and there is no way around that fact.
That would be an impeachable offense if ever there was one.

Wouldn't it?

You must really be hating your congress critters about now.

Just wondering.......Obama was supposed to be a Constitutional scholar but he was still smacked down over his unconstitutional spying.

One expects a dunderhead like Trump to do better than Obama?
