Many people have different views. When you had your chance, you enacted massive legislation that caused high inflation. It was evident by the summer of 2021. Just near 5 months after Joe took over. From there it was misery. And you are for the little guy. You are not.

I occasionally will vote against/advocate against my self interest for the greater good. It isn't always some tortured affair. For instance, I voted for school bonds several times that meant my real estate tax rates were going up. I wouldn't currently because we have more schools than we need. They need to sell off the vacant ones before coming to voters with hat in hand again.

People can be selfish. And are. So, not for me to give more of my income, but for you/others to pay. The real inequality is that there are millions who skated their lives in employment who get paid well in retirement. In dangerous work, they may get paid the same, yet the skaters are paid also.
